Always nice to see Spike get wrecked in a league. Good showing!

Lol, Spike's cool in my book, but nice to know he's not invincible!

Love the deck! You make me want to try my hand at modern again. 😅

Well, hopefully Nadu and something from Ruby Storm gets banned, then maybe I'll advocate Modern more openly again. But glad to see you like the deck!

@Erweenie we'll see! I might just go back to Merfolk with harbinger of the seas out now

This was an impressive showing, considering the only threat in your 75 was just x4 Mirrex 😄. There's something to be said about the ginormous (and yes, maybe excessive) removal package though--it was crushingly effective for the most part, which makes me think decks might need more removal in today's meta in general. If this strat gains more traction, would you consider adding a secondary wincon to deal with Mirrex hate, and if so, what would it be? I get you could sometimes land-lock opp out of the game and/or time them out, but that could be very time-consuming and doesn't always materialize fast enough to matter, so I don't know if that super-long game plan is a consistent enough plan B. Lastly, do you see any deck type that could give this a lot of trouble other than Ux Control and Burn? Thanks for the content, you wizard!

Thanks! As for alternate win conditions, I'm honestly not sure, there's always Orcish Bowmasters. I feel the meta is pretty warped by it at the moment, but 2 bodies for 2 mana is an OK alternate win con. There's also Murderous Rider. More expensive, but also more versatile removal. It also shuffles itself in. But it's also super slow. One of the reasons I wanted to try crucible though is that it helps deal with opposing LD effects. Blood moon is still an issue though. Anyway, thanks a lot for the comment, it means a lot to me!

I love all your grindy decks. Played the red one by myself in many FNMs. BUT especially this deck seems like something, that only a fast Mtgo-player can win with, because of clock-management. The paper matches at my local FNM would always end in draws or at max 1-0😅

@maro4668 I hear ya, although Mirrex did help speed up the clock a bit at least!

I like the gameplay more than the deck techs. Would be nice to put a break/chapter/jump after the 40 minutes of deck tech. Good video!

@phredlane9081 thanks! Maybe ll try at least just having a break for after the deck tech

If you want could just shorten deck tech by moving some of your comments to the end and just make some comments live if the exact situation(s) come up that you were gonna mention. But those who prefer to watch gameplay can also just FFW

Is Mirrex the only win con? Haven’t watched whole thing yet but this deck looks oppressive
@Magic_M_Hayashi5 ай бұрын
@JustRightPinedo correct. Mirrex is the only wincon. It's actually good enough in my testing so far
