You have to tune and balance the arrow as well!-not just tuning the bow! This is extremely important for pin point accuracy …understanding arrow harmonics/bending and flexing of the arrow in flight/dynamic spine….understanding your numbers KE/momentum, FOC, shooting the correct spine…understand your equipment and a deers body language…read the Chuck Adams article-the shocking science of string jumping…a mechanical broadhead can take anywhere from 3X to as much as 6X as much force needed to penetrate compared to a fixed blade…are you going to be lethal at 50-60-70-80 yards with a mechanical and your setup-even with a perfectly tuned and balanced arrow and bow? Watch here on youtube: Bone Collector arrow bounced off a booner…why did that arrow fail? Deer was shot at less than 30 yards…why do so many hunting videos show ppl shooting a compound bow at a deer 20-30 yards and maybe only getting 5-6 inches of penetration and having to track that deer for hours or never recovering? Understanding your KE/momentum numbers and how much is being taken away by that mechanical broadhead is the answer…there is alot more to this than just the bow

I learned importance of tuning when I did my first string change on a bear limitless it was my first bow. Getting ready for season my broadhead was hitting 8 inches right of my field point at 20 yards. I went to the shop and they had to adjust the yokes to get me flying right again. I wouldn't have been able to move the rest enough to get them impacting in the same spot.

@@ryanr6656 I think the problem is too much wax. At least that’s what one pro shop owner said. But it shouldn’t be a continuous issue.

@@joelculpepperoutdoors4262 Could be. Wax is one those things that is nescesssary but we often use too much of. It makes strings heavy.

@@ryanr6656 Yeah. I just stopped waxing my strings at all after that happened. I used to do it every week or two but after the shop owner looked at me like I was lying when I told him that I just quit.

I've used the Rips and Sonics The Rips at 300 spine were awesome The Sonics , to me , were on the fragile side. Grim Reaper Mini mags are unstoppable.

I get what your saying, but when you make that practice shot or that hunting harvesting shot, you still need to understand it's gonna boil down to the skill of the archer as long as your shot hits the kill zone, a good shot is a good shot
