Love the way the roof is done. Post, chicken wire, hay, cob. 👍

All this work, then add some more referring to "hey let's break a bunch of glass on the floor" so we can save the environment bs mentality. 🤦‍♂️ What? To offset the fact you used plastic bags? 🤣 All this build with trash is BS. Just make a house, not complicated. Don't try to find your social box to virtue signal. Still like the video, its a good example of 5ge process. 👍

This house was built of cob. But the tools used to build it, were love and respect for the environment. Absolutely beautiful 😍 ❤

Thanks looks really simple. I've seen videos where the window or door frames gotten a permanent fix and the windows got installed in those frames as windows are installed in normal homes.. It's good to know there's different approaches.

FYI, boiled linseed oil contains siccatives (metal or petroleum-based drying agents) added to BLO to shorten the time it takes for the oil to cure. This shortened drying time makes boiled linseed oil a more practical finish , as raw linseed oil can take weeks or months to fully cure. Some of the petroleum-based siccative compounds that are added to linseed oil to decrease the drying time are naptha, mineral spirits, and dipropylene glycol monomethyl. Cobalt and manganese are the most common metal siccatives found in boiled linseed oil. Boiled linseed oils often carry the following warning as required by the state of California: “Warning: This product contains a chemical known to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm.”

Don't do it. Lime.works.with concrete but not well with earthen plaster typically. Lime plaster is a whole different beast, but mixing earthen soil with rehydrated lime is a no no in my opinion. Potential reason why: Earthen soil expands and contracts with humidity. Lime and concrete don't. Making mixing either lime or concrete with earthen plaster a no no, as the ingredients are working against eachother instead of in unison. When one expands and the other doesn't, the bond breaks... atleast that's by uneducated perspective. I've tried only a handful of tests mixing earth and lime.together, never with substantial noticable benefits and in fact always the opposite. I could imagine a scenario where you have a highly lime saturated soil that might accept rehydrated lime into a mix for plaster.. But still it's doubtful in my view, as one has been kiln cooked, powderized, slaked and the other is just limestone powder. To help understand look at how commercial lime is manufactured.
