if you can literally just compile windows, i assume you can modify the code in some way to support other types of processors, like ARM (i am aware it officially exists already), RISC-V, whatever architecture exists out there today it's just software that's a issue.... need to recompile those for that specific architecture too
@MSNeptuned20 күн бұрын
i mean it'd be near impossible to do so, i'd say.. also with my fucking programming knowledge there's no way that would be possible, by me at least
@teknixstuff18 күн бұрын
@@MSNeptuned It wouldn't be too hard. 99% of Windows is written in C, which is architecture independent. Additionally, NT 4 actually supports Alpha, MIPS, PowerPC, and IA-32 already. The only thing you'd have to change would likely be some of the early bootloader code.

@@jhgvvetyjj6589 i don't see why they'd care when they've had 30 years worth of patches, security updates, optimization and features to be worried about instead. this os (even the newer versions like 7, 8, 10 and 11) have been completely editable with things like ntlite and nlite for years now. I'd understand your point if it was maybe... windows vista or something with more software support than windows nt 4 but microsoft has essentially no reason to take the video down unless they're extremely petty.
