Just came to me that a fair few unsupported applications can be run on XP with the help of OneCoreAPI! I did know it existed but it completely slipped out of my mind at the time of recording… :) I’ll test it out and see what applications can be run.

It's pretty incredible by what it can do, but I found that the trade off in stability wasn't worth it. I ran it with XP x64 and it was able to run a couple "modern" apps really well, but it fell short with things like the actual discord app, steam, etc. At the same time I was getting a lot of random crashes and some installers would take minutes to launch. I think if the devs keep up what they're doing we will see something really cool come out of it, but for now I'd consider it to be a curiosity at best

to be fair, you probably shouldnt install it on a serious system, and if you do, use backups. OCAPI is super unstable.

you can survive without any antivirus if you install windows server 2003 r2 64 bit, i installed it on my old laptop which has support for it and installed drivers + supermium and just browsed the web without any interruptions or catch any virus without doing anything, just like windows 10, it has a strong firewall that protects any worms, trojans, malwares exc. cuz its server but it still has issues running few programs giving errors because they arent "win32 applications" or just has missing files and mostly the least os they support is vista so even though windows 2003 server r2 64 bit is a good alternative, i recommend upgrading to atleast vista

2:25 This is normal, the only reason why there is only one update is due to the fact it is re-configuring the Windows Update service to use LegacyUpdate instead of Microsoft's LONG dead servers. When you saw the updates on the second check, that was a sign that everything is configured correctly.
