I had the One M8 and loved it. Then I got the HTC 10 and it was a complete piece of junk. It felt like a beta tester and not a finished product. But now I'm on a Pixel so I've indirectly gone back to HTC...

This is the problem with huge tech companies they stop innovating and just became legal departments looking to kill competition. Amazon, Apple, Microsoft, Tesla, Google, Facebook and others need to be broken up.

Nokia is not split into two separate companies as you claim. HMD, which manufactures Nokia branded phones, is its own company, of which Nokia itself owns a part. In reality, Nokia consists of two subsidiaries, Nokia Technologies and Nokia Networks. Nokia's main product is internet infrastructure. It is the world leader in 5g technology. I don't understand why this wasn't brought up in the video. And fucking yankee hubris, Nokia and Bell Labs didn't merge! We finns fucking bought your Bell Labs! It is not anymore "Bell Labs" by the way, it is Nokia Bell Labs! 😏

Always crazy to ruminate on the rise and fall of HTC, at one point seemed like everyone either had a Samsung, HTC or Iphone and that was it. There were so many variants of HTC phones as well, and they had a badass tablet called the HTC Flyer. Then suddenly they were rapidly getting worse and less common. Wild that they got hammered with lawsuits over copying designs, when the whole smartphone industry is literally everyone copying eachother. Haven't laid my eyes on an HTC device in nearly a decade now.

I had three HTC phones back-to-back in the 2010's, the last one being the One M9 and I still think that's one of the nicest phones I've owned.

As a consumer back then HTC did manage to get customers like Sonyericsson, Samsung got.Nokia waa already dead apple too expensive.Samsung was too good .most people in the comment seem to have bought HTC but i never did although the price was good.sorry your video just looks at data but me being in Europe and Africa back then HTC was rare.

I had the HTC One and it was supposed to be great but it sucked. Camera was hyped to be amazing and it was garbage.

Had HTC M9. The phone was OK, but the display wasn't that good and the glass was very fragile, camera was bad too, overall it felt big and chunky compared to my girlfriend's Samsungs. So I sold it and took my girlfriend's Samsung S6 Edge, much better phone

Everyone talks about the one m7 and rightfully so but man the one max is so slept on and was my favorite phablet and i held onto that phone as long as i could before it wasnt usable on verizon but it had the same awesome speakers i was rooted so i had as much features as i could and to this day on my pixel thanks to nova launcher i always make it look like sense with the icons and such i lnow their latest phones arent much but im so desperate to be back to htc id still buy one if it worked on verizon

Wildfire was my first android phone. Even tho it had no gpu meaning it kinda sucked; i still have very fond memories of it.

I really think they are missing out by not going back into the phone business. Web traffic is more mobile now than desktop and Microsoft is missing out as being the platform through which that happens. They already had a function like Samsung DeX and they now have a mature OS that runs on ARM (that can even emulate 64-bit programs). All they need to do is have a Windows ARM version of the Surface Duo.

I was so sad when my M9 One was laggy compared to my M8 (that was dropped in water by my baby bro 😢). I guess it was due to the hot metal backing. But it was so difficult to find a replacement phone when HTC used to have the ABSOLUTELY AMAZING front speakers.

I have used HTC Wildfire, HTC Incredible S, HTC One Mini, HTC 10, HTC U Play, HTC U11+. Guess only which one still works today. The oldest HTC Wildfire ❤😂

Still got the tattoo, one m7 and one X. My first androids. Great phones, great memories. I loved the Sense UI on tattoo. Was the Aero Glass UI on Windows Vista for Android. They should bring it back.

This pisses me off, I just want a phone for whatsapp, and a few other apps. I have a beast of a pc, I do not watch videos or play games on a phone. Yet I am forced to buy a massive thing. I am still using a redmi 6 I think it is, 5.5 inches but battery only lasts an hour now, brought another phone but hate as screen too big. Am I the only one in the world that just sees a phone as a communication device?

The M8 was my most gorgeous phone i think. The LG chocolate and my nokia 7260 were close contenders.
