Do patents, copyrights, and trademarks truly foster innovation, or do they primarily serve to create and maintain anti-competitive monopolies?

First time i know about Xiaomi was 2016, in 2017 one of my friend bought Xiaomi Redmi Note 3. Then early 2018 i bought Xiaomi Redmi Note 4x Snapdragon, i still using it till now as secondary phone to my POCO F3. Its amazing that phone so cheap with high specs still last long. Talking about market approach, back in the day Xiaomi's costumer is smart buyer, and with all those product line they can reach niche customer with their own need. But for now i think they need to change that if they wanted to get new customer from general public, most people nowadays don't even know their need yet alone the gadget they want to buy. Its hard decision for them of course

Used to be the budget King.. But not anymore. The bigger they become and the more money they have it seems they forget how they started as a budget friendly company.

Had a redmi note 8 pro for 5 years, never had a single issue, at least in my experience, xiaomi is the most trustfull phone company

I had plenty of Xiaomi phones from 2016-2022 always loved them for the their value but I couldn't deal with the lack of updates on my last one the mi 11 lite. Constant bugs and no fixes pushed me away and I just swapped to going for the Samsung galaxy series. Still fond memories though of being able to upgrade on a yearly basis and seeing all the little improvements and new efficient chipsets.

since 2021 redmi new series is not as widely popular or have crazy specs or anything new to offer , i mean they are pretty good for the price and everything but compared what other chinese phones offer but they fall a bit short , thats why i went for realme and oneplus over redmi , also from what i have experienced is the miui is a bit poorly optimised , and its the same since 2020 lookwise and eveything so i wanted a change also my grandparents and sister used to have a realme phone and the software i felt was a bit optimised , they both were budget phones and the software was cut down and felt barebones but it felt smooth no issues unlike redmi whcih felt bulky , bloated even in thier budget phones

The thing with HyperOS bootloader unlocking for Xiaomi is that for Global devices the process is somewhat more complicated using the Mi community app before using the pc software but for Chinese Roms you would need a Chinese account to unlock it. (Probably did this to discourage chaper Chinese varients to be exported outside of China). They also imposed a limit to how many devices you can unlock per account per year (which is 3) which really shouldn't effect normal users too much.

Has been a fan of Xiaomi since the day it launched in Malaysia with the Mi 3. But my personal favorite is the Mi 4. The aluminum frame makes the phone looks and feels premium at the time. The software itself is smooth and has no lag whatsoever. Had been using it more than 5 years until the fateful day that it suddenly boot loops and came into conclusion that the motherboard has died. I tried some of the other brands after that like Samsung, Honor and Huawei. I have some great experience with them but it's just not it because I was too used of using Xiaomi phone and their identical UI similar to Apple's iOS. And then in 2022 I tried their Redmi line for the first time, the Redmi Note 10 5G. It was a great phone until the MIUI 13 (and 14) update. The phone is struggling to get a stable grip for a smooth experience. After a few years of using it I decided to switch back to the Xiaomi lines. But instead of the base Xiaomi series, I chose the Xiaomi T series (Xiaomi 14T) because it was cheaper than the base models. It was such a big upgrade and I'm glad I did it. Everything about it was perfect (for me). Never had any issues ever since. But I wish Xiaomi added new ringtones because I'm getting bored of the same default ringtones they had for the past 10 years.

I use Huawei P50 Pro, made google services to work natively, right now on HarmonyOS 4.2. Great phone and great software, im not sure if I can say that there is more user friendly software

I still have my Redmi Note 3 today, but it was now a remote control for its IR blaster. Currently, I am using a Redmi K70 after upgrading from Poco X5 Pro

I remember installing miui roms on my phones and loving it ! I also remember waiting intently for the online flash sale of redmi 1s in mny country. It was set to be sol on 12 noon an 5 min later it was sold o ut. I was able to buy two. 1 for me and 1 for my friend.

Most people don't need phones with crazy features, most people need a non-expensive phone that does the job. That's where Xiaomi excels.

P1 P910 and xperia x1 has stylus in box., the real reason why sony xperia fallen because they didnt adapt android OS on that time and because they use windows mobile .

As a guy who uses an Redmi tablet and also in the MI community,i can say that we all bought their devices for MIUI,hyperos,hyperos2 and game turbo.
