The glory days at Roker Park 🏞️...99 glorious years before moving to the SoL. It's a shame Roker Park didn't get to b 100 years old but there u go. 😂

Blimey that old Sunderland shirt from 1983. I wonder if websites like score draw or Sports Direct will do this shirt 🎽 in retro style. Now if they have then I must of missed it! 😆 😂 *Saying that the stripes r better than this one. 😂

I remember this game like it was yesterday, followed Sunderland home and away every game, 16 years old and we took over ninian park, incredible day and atmosphere and we needed one point for promotion and can still picture in my mind Bryan "pop" Robson goal and that header from Barry"the pipe fitter"dunn. What a day and great times good and not so good. Sunderland till I die

I was there. Sunderland were chasing promotion and brought a massive support. There was so many of them trying to get into the ground that the kick off was delayed

The hotshot striker that was Gary Rowell. Legend. Oh and RIP Kenneth Wolstenholme the late great commentator for both the BBC until 1971 and then over to Tyne Tees(ITV) which is his commentary on this Tyne Wear derby @St James Park.

I liked Bob Wilson he dived at opposing forwards feet. Did he take one for the team? Them days or did they just limp off? Swiss roll overs out of date.
