Thank you! This worked for me, mine had intermittent issues it would turn off sometimes then work other times then it got worse to the point it would only work for a second or two once it was opened then turn off.. I pulled back the wiring and there it was brittle wiring which was barely held together, you saved me a bunch of money!

Mine just broke after washing the car. Not sure if it's the light or the connector that is broken yet, i'm preparing to buy a new light if it doesn't work after it has dried. Great video!

Hi did when you tightened the piston with the g clamp why didn’t you release it back ? Just asking as I’m about to follow your video so any advice will help total newbie but giving it a go
@RyansWorkshopАй бұрын
You just remove the g clamp after pushing the piston back and fit the caliper back on the car with the new pads and pump the pedal a few times the seat everything correctly

Did you go into the service mode to put the car into pad change option... it didnt say in the video. In other videos it mentions this.
@RyansWorkshopАй бұрын
That only applies the the rear pads, the service mode retracts the electronic handbrake motors so it's possible to change the pads

Perfect fix for my issue on my Audi A6 C7 2012. I had the same issue whereby everything worked on the mmi except the screen being black once fully opened. My screen actually worked initially then turned black half way through the opening/popping out cycle. Then was black thereafter. Turns out my cables were both split and needed repairing. Followed the steps and with a new fuse and works perfectly. Thank you for an informative and detailed video.

Na minha opinião deve-se sempre sangrar o circuito antes de empurrar o pistão/êmbolo para trás. Isto para não fazer retornar o lixo que se junta no êmbolo até á unidade de controlo do ABS. Estarei errado?

My car has the sensors in the back but has no button in the dashboard. There's a fault in VCDS and when putting reverse nothing happens on the screen. 01543 - Parking Aid Warning Chime (H15) 009 - Open or Short to Ground Replacing it would fix it? And why nothing shows on the mmi when putting reverse?
@insus100Ай бұрын
I replaced the Chime but now it always beeps constantly when I put reverse.

Great video but I am struggeling, I have an A6 C7 but not sport so my springs are alot taller (almost 5cm). First I thought I got the wrong springs but they are aproximate the size of the broken ones (millimeter difference). I had to compress them alot, about 5cm to get the bolt on the shock back in place and now I am at the situation where I cannot get it back in place using you method. I think the only way for me is to remove the upper controlarms but that is no easy task it seems like. Taking a break right now and pondering any options but cant see any yet.
@anma7004 ай бұрын
I somewhat retract my comment, It was not possible to get much, if any movment of the shock with the spring compressors. I had them as tight as possible but the end started to touch the top. But what I tried was to lift the car as high as I dared and then used a long (2,5m) prybar get the controlarm as low as possible. Possibly some bushings that did not like that but they need to be changed anyway. Still was a fight with 0mm to spare but made it. I actually clamed the prybar down but if I have had help it might have been easier and a bit safer. Also had a prybar on the spring to get some movement upwards on that, might have been the last millimeter that made it. Anyway, happy now, atleast a few minutes until I start on the second side.
