@@dartlinfps That is true, but thats also CoD, Halo, Fortnite, Apex, WoW, AoE 2, Elden Ring, Tekken 8, Super Mario 64, etc. The game works, performs well, and rewards you for doing well. The last thing in that list, you can't get out of most modern fps.

I turned vibration off on the controller but that reminds me of the bug with the gun shooting when you respawn...the finals is prob in a similar place in terms of player count on keyboard and mouse likely

Connection is by far the biggest problem I was thinking that it was only something I was seeing because I was playing on keyboard and mouse with input based on, but after playing all day yesterday on controller as well as today, I am getting put into us central more and occasionally us east so it's definitely a matter of there being a smaller player base, it's definitely a lot smaller on keyboard and mouse though compared to controller I noticed I was seeing the same names a lot more frequently (lobbys disband and also some matches I back out if the connection doesn't feel good I noticed today an issue where I was stuttering while trying to mantle over objects and then started to notice matches where that would happen I might as well leave because im going to be seen by enemies alot before or after they c me, I died to somebody who was facing the opposite direction a few times)

@dartlinfps you would be correct. Whenever you get into a gun fight it would be nice if both players were having the same fight...instead. one is in the past and one is in the future.

I think thats part of the playerbase getting smaller and smaller for sure, I'm noticing I can find lobbies faster on controller, I wish I enjoyed playing on controller more tbh but some guns just feel way more satisfying for me to use on keyboard and mouse

I started playing controller and recently after about 20 hours or so in I can def tell the issues are still felt on here just not as much, there's also way faster matchmaking times on controller as well, I think the game honestly runs and feels better on controller, it feels "smoother" even though being at the same frame rate and everything (prob just bc controller analog stick input is easier to read than a raw mouse input)

Controller player I presume? Lol it's called constructive criticism, you don't have to be personally hurt by somebody trying to contribute to improving the game... I play against people overseas on Call of Duty a lot this video isn't even about Call of Duty I don't see what the big fixation is on CALL OF DUTY amongst the XDefiant fanboys it's like a cult of jealous exes or something more mad at their ex than they actually love their new relationship if the community was more open and didn't try to randomly attack people like a bunch of childish man babies, things would be a lot better rather than this stupid little tribalist cult that seems to be going on, and it's all people under a certain age playing on a certain input device from what I see to be honest

@@dartlinfps yup I play on console. The issue is not being a fan boy but rather looking at the issues people complain about that don't seem to effect other games. The fire t comparison would be cod as it's another arcade shooter. Ive played cod for years and it was an excellent game before. They made a ton of smart choices and it showed. However recently it's been a giant mess. I've had more issues on cod than any other game besides maybe destiny. The problem is people have a cult following for cod so it's issues pop up they just keep playing. Where as for some odd reason xdefiant with minimal issues gwta dogged on. It's just strange like all you see is the issue with xdefiant is, followed by a ton of skill issues complaints. I don't spam crouch or jump and slide a lot but I'm doing just fine. I have minimal time to play as well so hoping on to a game for some casual fun is ideal. But everyone seems to complain about something. Like spider bots I get but come on most of the other issues I just don't see at all. Giving the game a critique is fine, commenting on content makes sense. But the abilities being free kills? Dude its barely an issue, the jump spam was annoying but it just took getting use to now you can plan for it. It just feels like the complaints about this game are just whinny not real critiques. If your net code on yoir side looks bad I can't address that but mines runs fine so I just don't see the issues.

Good point but I don't hold XDefiant any lower than cod when I scrutinized it, I personally want to see XDefiant in a healthier spot as a game, i will hold call of duty to the same standard given both games operate within a billion dollar industry and earn billions

@@dartlinfps I've had the same problem in MW2 on PC. When youre up there in skill those wait times are ridiculous. I eventually stopped playing since you couldnt play anything but the meta or get wiped out.

Haha. Kind of facts. I like how it isn't overblown in xdefiant but I think TF2 was THE hero/class shooter and when overwatch originally rolled around i kind of rolled my eyes

I think the input on keyboard and mouse feels a bit floaty bc the inputs are a lot more sensitive than controller inputs so you are more likely to feel any system or network related delays, you feel the jitter when you jiggle peek a corner or strafe left and right real fast whereas on controller, the motion feels and looks more fluid I think gta6 will put every other game on pause for majority of gamers period to be fair! I can't snipe very well on controller it's alot harder than on keyboard and mouse on xd I think, but smg is alot easier on controller in my experience, ar is a little tough to get used to, but controller feels like it is the native input for the game for sure with keyboard and mouse being an extra feature

@@dartlinfps yeah, I just jumped back into XD, game feels awful, in the beginning I was very hopeful, tolerant and optimistic, now I just don't understand the point in playing. Why would anyone want to invest time and money into this game? Now that I barely play, it is becoming a skill issue on-top of the game issues, so now is just a bowl of barf. The lack of SBMM is no longer a factor, game feels like dirty ass. I will buy a Playstation for GTA6. I have an XBox Series X, but it isn't at my full-time address, and I am not pleased with Microsoft either! The abortion that was the Activision merger, killed it for me! I truly believe that GTA6 will save gaming for me. FPS games are all trash now. I will continue to watch your channel though, your gameplay is WAY better than the game, way more fun than playing!

I think they need to do something with support for the higher polling rate and dpi settings as well seeming to cause what I call "pixel skipping" it feels like the mouse input value is being rounded up rather than giving an exact value within the game engine or something

I totally agree I also think it's the reason why everybody who is super defensive about constructive criticism on this game is super defensive bc most roller players never played kbam but a lot of kbam players have experience on controller and just don't enjoy it I was playing last night on controller and I'm not as good at long range but I'm definitely better close range on controller and it's funny because it felt like I was watching the game moreso than playing it

The flashbangs are crazy honestly lol whoever tuned them the way that they are right now def didn't play against them enough

Then to make matters worse and add insult to injury or dislike for flashbangs, they went ahead and gave a faction a d@mn shield that protects them from enemy fire while being able to flash you and blind you to even being able to fight back. Like I've been saying from the beginning.... too many abilities and gadgets in this stupid azz game that are cheesy and have no legit counter.

The mines are over powered. But the flash bangs are good.

It honestly feels like it breaks a players flow state and is so jarring it is unfun to go against lol It's got too few counters and combined with flashbangs or the prox mines that also print for the dedsec faction it's just insanely annoying (also prox mines stay after the person who drops them dies)

You're probably right, I also think kbam is less popular for call of duty style games I remember black ops 4 and blackout was hard to find matches on PC compared to on console back then before crossplay became a thing, I think a lot of controller players have input based turned on and have a way larger pool on xdefiant as well (I started playing on controller again a day ago to try to test out the differences more and see the player pool etc) i usually get all keybaord and mouse players when on mouse myself even with input based off, with controller like that, I hardly ever see mouse unless it happens to be somebody in a party, and I rarely see the same names of players

Good point about consoles have far less fps games to choose from. As of now I have grown a distaste for COD (played it since back when), and Battlefield is a joke. Mil Sims? Boring. So I (will have to) stick with Xdefiant. If it can survive BO6 I am optimistic.

I think black ops 6 will only be an issue if XDefiant doesn't fix certain stuff, I think with the game being free to play there will never be a shortage of players especially on controller, its WAY more healthy on controller compared to keyboard and mouse, maybe once they bring keyboard and mouse support to console it'll boost that player pool a decent amount too

@@dartlinfps Agree. Besides no sbmm (which is mostly for COD OGs) the free to play is a very concrete advantage for casuals. A concern however is Ubisoft. If they go into panic mode when numbers are low around Christmas, they are fully capable of pulling the plug.

THIS! all the other crap wouldn't be so bad if the player you shoot actually took damage and died. It's easy to build a strategy when the core game works as expected. Ubisoft will be why this game fails. Pride before the fall (and greed)

It seems like it's that happening or you come around the corner and see multiple, try to reposition, go around another corner and a spiderbot jumps on you followed by a flash grenade lol

I'm noticing alot more variation in ping between players and the blanked out ping has been going on for weeks I almost think it's intentional, honestly, I think the ping indicator in general is not accurate... you have to turn your ping indicator on in your options, it seems like you can't check from your scoreboard unless you ask a teammate lol...I saw somebody else say that when they feel like a particular match has janky connection they just leave and find another one, I honestly have been doing that for weeks now bc the connection issues are the same reason I had issues with cod and sbmm not prioritizing connection despite having a huge playerbase (xdefiant prioritizes connection, but the playerbase is a good amount less than it was even 3 weeks ago, I think keyboard and mouse players are feeling it more than the controller portion of the playerbase) I notice the matches taking longer and longer to find I am currently trying to level my sniper up to get mastery camos but don't want to ruin other ppls matches in objective modes sniping and even TDM is starting to take me a decent amount of queue time

I play on keyboard and mouse but most ppl on controller on PC like you say are at a huge advantage with a larger pool, I prefer to play only keyboard and mouse when I am doing so but a lot of players think we r cheating or are shroud level of skill when the avg skill of keyboard and mouse players is lower than controller bc most ppl spent majority of their life on controller, put them on a PC with controller and they are even better lol, esp with aim assist even compared to a pc mouse player who is skilled usually controller wins, only place keyboard wins is snipers but they're more op on cod Snipers are essentially shotguns on alot of modern fps games though in the right hands

Firebomb is the best offensive thing in the game if you can pull it off lol it's a free multi kill

Phantom is usually my go to it's the best overall I just don't like the ultra unless I'm playing certain modes but the firebomb from cleaners is insane too and the cooldown seems pretty fast

I've been loving the firebomb and the ak with cleaners lol the firebomb is op for when ppl bunch up
