The best thing to come out of the sequels is more appreciation for the prequels.

Disney could not have ruined the original character story lines more. It was intentional sabotage in the service of focusing on new characters, and it wasn’t necessary. It only damaged the franchise.

What's so depressing, is when you get an actor who is as passionate about their role as Mark Hamill -- an actor who never seemed to mind being seen as Luke Skywalker by many people -- and you break him down to the point where he says "it's just a movie, it's not real", in anticipation of people disliking the movie.

Unfortunately my disdain for what they did only contributes to the disdain of society in total... and I wish for love between us all.

Can we make another "George Lucas" movie with Luke waking up from a bad dream, and having Yoda say " suffer the fate with Disney You will if you continue down the Hollywood path"...and then go on and make an Actual Star Wars Movie...you know, one that has a story to tell...That would be great.

Idk bout yall, but there were SOME parts of the sequels i actually really liked, but trying to see the full films as part of a huge continuous story is where it falls apart for me. I thought the force awaken was OKAY at best and at the time was looking forward to seeing what was next, but they butchered Luke as a character

God, the entire Disney Trilogy has aged so poorly. Those movies are really terrible when you take a step back and look at it. Meanwhile, the prequels which were panned originally are now getting the love they deserved due to all of the new projects that are making them much more meaningful.

If I were making a film and the actor whose career is defined by his role as a character that's supposed to be in my film tells me that I'm doing it wrong, I hope I wouldn't be so arrogant as to ignore him.

ive never been so jealous of my dad. him and i saw every star wars film in theaters accept episode 8 and 9.

I remember seeing the clip at 7:03 in its original context back then, and it was at that moment I understood that the sequel trilogy had nothing of value to offer and I could let go of any hope they would. And based on what I’ve learned about them since then, I was right. Mark was right. It’s all nonsense. I get the sense from Ian McDiarmid that while he enjoyed playing Palps again because he’s obviously an amazingly fun role to go all out on, he didn’t feel like it made a ton of sense either.

There is no star wars after George Lucas. Disney killed it.
