Well the thought was good, but you made a few fatal mistakes. Wrong wood, the heater had no heat shield, and was probably to close. Also the air circulation not good. And now you know. So try again.

I would state it as 'one of the darkest places on earth' I live 5 hours from Grasslands National Park, in Saskatchewan Canada. Definitely one of the darkest places anywhere. Several square kilometers of Bortle 1 sky. As a bonus, is it is mainly flat and open. Easy to see horizon to horizon.

Today we will be going to a river that even scientists can't fully explain. Proceeds to explain how scientists have explained it. Then goes onto to validate some simple river spirit that energises and takes away negative energy.... Just because someone has a different guess ...doesn't make it just as likely ...or valid enough to discount science and geography.

Fun fact: I don't know about the UK but in the US, almost all grocery store quail and duck eggs are fertile. We only separate male and female chickens. Quail and duck eggs aren't regulated the same way as chicken eggs. I've hatched refrigerated grocery store quail eggs a few times in high school as an agriculture class experiment.
