Was this on a 20W machine? If so would the 10W work with this?
@WeCreat_Lonnie13 сағат бұрын
It was on a 20 you might be able to do it on a 10 it would require multiple passes.

Thats awesome and seems pretty easy. So the .18 is always the gap for the beam right?
@WeCreat_LonnieКүн бұрын
it can vary depending on the laser the .18 was a 20 watt Wecreat on 3mm acrylic. wood is .175. Different colors may shrink different amounts so I always check before I close the file

Mr Lonnie I order acrylic from WeCreat and it came with just clear plastic covering. So I assume I would have to remove it before cutting or engraving because of the chance of a fire. Do I still use the settings you used if it doesn't have the paper covering? Also, do you know if there is a way to order that paper covering? Maybe a link to purchase it from? Thanks for all the videos you make and sharing your knowledge with us newbies.

One of the ones they sent me had clear covering I did it with it on Watching it carefully It looked like sh!* but when I took the plastic off it was fine. It probably will effect burn time. I dont know if you can put the paper coating on after the fact. There is a link on my web page to where I got mine they have tons of stuf. www.lonnie.company

Hi Lonnie. Thanks for all you insight. Could you explain how to use the matrix to customize the boxes? Want to create a multiple tray with continuous walls but not sure I am making it right. Since my laser has a working space of 12x24 would the measurements be 100x3cm ? What about how tall? Can I do 200x 3cm? Thanks for your help

I think Santa is brining me the upgrade kit. I really like the new jaw design, but I also like the fact that it offsets the part so you don't lose as much printing space since it moves it out further. Thanks for the review and also the other video that shows the variety of ways you've configured things.

Thanks for the hint on the Processing Order menu. I agree that Auto Arrange is probably the safest bet, but I'm glad we have the layer option so I can tell it what to do first. I did a box the other day and it cut out the box pieces and then tried cutting out the pattern in the sides. It worked, but I would have rather it cut out the patterns first and then make the cuts around the edges of the box. With layer arrange I can put them in the order I want and then it'll do what I want. Thanks.

Sorry for commenting so much, but I think your videos are helpful, but then I come up with suggestions or questions and I can't help myself. For the subtraction tool, I am confused how it works. For example, when you put the circle on the rectangle, it subtracted the circle, but it could have subtracted the rectangle and I didn't know how it knows. I thought that it was a layers thing, so I went into the software and tried rearranging the layers. Unfortunately that didn't seem to change things. Then I was looking for an arrange feature to move them forward or backwards. From what I can tell, new shapes are placed above the previous shape. This then creates a scenario where the software subtracts the top shape from the bottom shape. What's even weirder is that I had three shapes, selected all of them and the top two disappeared from the lowest shape. Without the ability to control the arrangement, you're stuck with the order that you put them on the workspace. If the software people can add the arrange feature, or make it tied into the layer definitions, that would be helpful.

One suggestion I'd give for the test arrays deals with how dark the text is. Normally the text is too light for me to read, so I have to ungroup everything and put in my own settings for the text. I'm not sure why the values are so low, by default, but that's what I have to do.

This is a cool ideal that I haven't seen before. I've wanted to do some mandala art with a bunch of layers, but I hadn't thought of creating my own layered project. Thanks for the inspiration.

I thought I understood how the dpi would affect the results by making edges sharper but I didn't expect it to make the engraving darker. It seems to affect the power of the laser, or maybe it is just doing more pulses in the same area which makes it darker. If I could make a request, I'd like to see an image with a lot of tonal variations printed with the different algorithms. I don't often get a lot of shading in my photo prints and I don't think the system has the ability to moderate the power, so it seems like pixel size and density are the only two variables we have. From what I understand, the algorithms are where we can modify those parameters. Thanks for keeping the videos coming.

So on the second one that's said color does that mean you left it color and didn't change it to grayscale?

It was color and hit image processing next to edit and changed it using converstion program ( in newest version of software )

I thought you'd send the photo into another program where you could "dither" the image. I've seen other videos where they do that and you end up with an image made of a ton of little dots, kind of like in a newspaper. By changing the size and density of the dots you can get better variations of light and dark. Have you tried this technique?
@WeCreat_Lonnie11 күн бұрын
No, the newest software update has image processing next to image edit where you can change that
