Wondering as they seem to have a variety of folk tales/stories in the ornate plates. Possible how didfrent stories/lore filter down incorporated into their current lore. Curious if the figure holding the spear behind horse rider is a representation of "gods taking possession of the warrior body to wield it in heroic battle.......possessed by the gods/favored/unbeatable As the curator mentioned earlier, linking the leader to the spirtual realm/godlike Very interesting

Let's learn our ancestors language from the people who stole their monuments and artefacts in which their greatest museum will be completely useless without it bec. it considers most of its exhibits. I think there are a lot of things can be displayed related to the great history of the great British empire such as Indian spices for example.

If being A typical the way of communicating in Pompeii, I could see it possibly being the Judgment of GOD falling on upon that generation. it's disgusting talk, no humor at all in it.

You say stupid question too much. No stupid questions, we're are all here to answer questions! Me I'm looking for Egyptian hieroglyphs to decode, like some raw materials. I'm guessing England has a hold on them in a royal museam. This is a great bit. But....if they made characters from the animals they saw around them, and that was about 4000 years ago, how then were they observing crocodiles in Egypt? It also makes sense to me that someone was trying to interact with the people here in Egypt by relating to them by things they both saw. However, creating language, especially in the depth in which you explain, comes from intelligence. If it started here, it didn't come from here, it was brought to them. Not to mention the people with dog and bird heads. Were they observing that around them?. how would you explain to foreigner who had no written language, for instance: I wear this helmet so I can breathe better when I travel in my f-35. Tell them your a bird god. Seems easiest way. Or rather, that's where their imagination would take them. I also don't quite understand the liberty of turning characters around. I feel there would be a more specific reason than they like to play with it. They definitely believed that people who were more powerful than them were in charge. I'm curious what happened in the year leading up to and the year after the day hieroglyphs were created and used. We can't really talk about any of this without talking about thoth can we? It's like tying to explain Christianity and the language of the Bible without ever mentioning Jesus. True or not, Thoth was somebody and he came from somewhere and he designed the language. And I still can't get over the Crocs. Was Florida and Australia connected to Egypt fairly recently? Like Egypt got hit with a meteor 4000 years ago and got burned into a pile of sand splitting the earth up and flooding half the world? It does make sense. We don't really know when things happened. But we have an idea what happened. I wonder, do any hieroglyphs mention the moon and planets. The sun, Saturn? Saturn would easily be portrayed if indeed they could see it. They also somehow possessed extremely sophisticated knowledgeable of the sky, which again, wouldn't have been imbued into architecture prior to learning an advanced sophisticated communication system, so arguably those who brought them language also brought them science and knowledge of agriculture and the sky.

I would be interested in seeing the translation of the three languages into English just to get an idea of how differently they express the same thing but in different languages. I used to live in Latin America for a few years and spoke enough Spanish to get around in their culture. However, the grammatical structure is very different, their use of grammatical voices were different because while in some cases English has the same voice but are considered archaic and no longer in common use. Also Spanish words have both feminine and masculine endings which English rarely has. Also Spanish has both familiar and formal usage and while English does have both informal and formal usages, English isn't determined by the spelling or pronunciation of the words. Also the Latin use of idiomatic expressions were prolific and while some could equate to similar American idiomatic expressions, they were still different. For example where I lived they would say, "that is a sack of a different flour" where in America we would say, "that's a horse of a different color" both meaning that isn't what we agreed to purchase. I found that the idiomatic expressions in each Latin country were very different and people from other Latin countries who were visiting the country where I lived had the same problem I had in deciphering the meaning of those idiomatic expressions. Where I lived, the people proudly claimed they were Guanaco's, which a South American camel similar to the Llama but is known for its stubbornness. So, I'm guessing that Hieroglyphs, Demotic, and Greek probably had similar unique differences in those languages. Therefore, I'd be very interested in how each language expressed what the meaning of the "decree" was. You hinted at this in the video in highlighting the difference between writing and letters.

Well, laugh if you want to, but back in the late 80's I was walking my dog in an industrial area close to my row, townhouse which happened to also be close to the airport. It was a frigid Canadian January night about -28 C and around 10 pm. Me and Max walked by a office building. I saw a ground floor office with a light on.Curious I walked by andlooked into the office. I could not believe my eyes....I saw a man in a white dress shirt and black dress pants doing office work. Not so weird? Well he had a lion head, mane and all. I blinked my eyes, stared, and blinked. It was a man with a lion head. I kept walking back and forth in disbelief. Nothing I did Changed what I saw. The broad lion nose, the tawny fur and mane ... it did not look like a mask or costume. He had papers in his hand and was walking from a filing cabinet to a desk and putting other papers from the desk to the filing cabinet like it was a normal working evening. Something warned me he shouldn't know I was watching him, not sure why I had that feeling. I thought at first maybe he was hideously deformed and only worked late at night, but when I'd walk by the window again and again he was clearly a man with a lion head.I have researched this over the years periodically which brought me here but I seem to be the only one who has ever seen this. I didn't drink or do drugs...so I can't blame it in that. I have no idea what was going on.
