So glad I found this! I was about to spend $60+ on the Tidy Cat XL Breeze. I recently switched my large cat Toby to pine pellets from clay-clumping litter. He transitioned well within a week, with me just putting the new litter box with pine pellets next to his old box with clay litter, and he started using the new box with no issues. The new box is the So Phresh sifting litter box from Petco. It came with two litter pans, the sifting tray, and the top that extends the height of the sides. It's plenty big for Toby and I like the top that gives extra height to the sides. However, while I'm sure it's perfect for clay-clumping litter, it's not made for pellets. The sifting grates/holes are just big enough for the pellets to either fall through or get stuck and the pan under the sifter isn't deep enough. So the sifter is getting clogged and not able to do its job. Hubby already had the round 1/4" sifting pan and an extra 5-gallon bucket, so I scooped out the couple of pieces of poop, dumped the pellets and "sawdust" from one of the pans into the round 1/4" sifting pan, dumped the clean pellets that were left into the other pan, and I'm done! I threw the useless sifting tray into the trash. So much easier and I didn't have to buy anything else! Well, I guess Hubby will have to buy a new 1/4" sifting pan at some point, lol, but making the job of doing the litter easier takes priority! :D

This idea just popped in my head and I thought to myself, if it works surely someone has done it. So, I went and looked online and sure enough, found this video. Now the funny part of the story is I just so happened to acquire exactly what I need to do this. Somehow a pump was just hanging in my apple tree out front recently. It works, too. I don't know, the universe works in weird ways sometimes. And I happen to have the perfect bowl for it so I think it's just meant to be apparently. 🤔🤷♀️⛲

First off, I would use 1/4 c LEMON JUICE from the bottle. This is with all coffee makers. Salt can also be used. I do want to know what the white "calcium" looking stuff is in rhe older perc makers is. It's always in that iron dipped hole area after each use, even after rinsing and drying. Had it everywhere I lived. Is that minerals from the water? It's hard to get rid of it everyday.

What if you got the prongs wet while the coffee maker was in the sink? (I'm talking about where the cord connects to the machine)? I feel like I have to be very careful not to get those prongs wet. I don't want a shock! Maybe a stovetop percolator would work better for me.

Couple questions. Have you ever used a zero turn with the handles before. If you are familiar with them this is a nicely made mower. Not hard to operate but has a heavy duty deck. Also depends on how large of a lawn you have. 1 acre or less I would say. Maybe stretch up to 1.5 🤞👍

I don't think you SHOULDN'T clean things going in your tank, but a lot of the "escargot" shells we buy for our shell dwellers are from a terrestrial snail, Helix pomatia, it's not an aquatic species. So it's unlikely to be able to transmit any nefarious pathogens 😊

To prevent butter from sticking to your knife, try using a table knife (also called a butter knife). Butter knives are serrated on one side. Slice the butter with the serrated side facing out (away from the stick of butter). The butter should slice nicely without sticking to the knife.

Thanks for making this. Those stupid labels on the lid over time with all the water will disintegrate. So, it's hard to know which way to twist the lid. There is a little divit/indicator on the lid that droops down a bit. So on the IN Side, if the lid is twisted toward that, it's in BYPASS mode. (AKA Full Clockwise Twist) If that divit is in the Middle, it's OFF. If the divit is to the RIght, or on the out-side, it's on FILTER mode. (Full CCW Twist) The newer ones have a handle on top and better marks on the housing itself rather than the sticker.

I just purchased this meter and plugged it into my 1927 and @1933 GE Monitor refrigerators. This meter is supposed to also have a surge protection circuit on it. I also plugged it into my Traulsen freezer. I think it will be good to calculate how much these appliances are costing me in electricity. I think they are a great idea and they do not cost that much @ 21.00 or so.

I just got one and hooked it up. It does not work. No greenlight ever {even with my new batteries). Eventually I gave up and removed it from the hoses and tried to get my new batteries out before I returned it. There must have been an electrical short in it, because one of the batteries was so Fing hot that I could barely touch it and the grey plastic near the Neg end of the battery heated up and started to melt. Obviously not manufactured correctly. (Batteries were inserted correctly.) It's going back!

excellent! Brilliant. I was thinking to do this. To just use the pump because I have yet to find a water fountain that works correctly. They require way too much cleaning, with expensive filters and the water gets dirty with particles and hair almost immediately. And that's coming from me, whos borderline OCD with cleanliness. I would have to switch out the entire stainless steel bowl of filtered water, daily. This is a terrific and cost effective alternative.

fantastic, helpful video! thank you. I have two questions for anyone who might see this: (1) why is it necessary to remove the lines from something that cats are just going to go to the bathroom on? (2) does the bottom flex too much? I'm concerned my cats will distrust it if the bottom moves at all. I'm considering adding some ribbing or feet between the two bins.
