Dude, I get people have different opnion and stuff, but saying season 8-10 its all filler....WTH?! Dude season 8 has a bunch of good episodes and developing episodes to keep the plot foward Season 9(with the exception of Fionna and Cake and Fionna, which is a mediocre episode) its all plot and bangers Season 10 is showing how the characters grew and their interactions, just watch any episode and youll see this pattern I just dont get it, theres stuff to criticize on the later seasons yet you just said "Filler"

bro be like “it’s all filler” my friend did u actually watch the show ? i mean no hate but this is one of the most glossed-over series reviews of anything i’ve ever seen. like or dislike is subjective, however events took place and that is not subjective. almost everything served furthering one arc or another, and even graybles episodes that seem filler, serve to provide additional post-Ooo lore. or at least one of em does. I just genuinely don’t understand the takes you have in this video, unless you weren’t really watching or understanding the content.

This is where I truly disagree with you. Adventure Time has no mid or bad seasons. Season 6-10 were all great. Season 7-10 should be perfection Season 6 should be masterpiece. As for the best and worst episodes: Season 6 Best: Wake Up/Escape from the Citadel Worst: Water Park Prank Season 7 Best: The Crossover Worst: The Thin Yellow Line Season 8 Best: Min & Marty Worst: High Strengthness Season 9 Best: Three Buckets Worst: Fionna and Cake and Fionna Season 10 Best: Come Along With Me Worst: Ring of Fire

Also i agree with your tier ranking for the first 5 seasons but for the best and worst episodes of each seasons I have to disagree. Season 1 Best: Slumber Party Panic Worst: Freak City Season 2 Best: Mortal Folly/Mortal Recoil Worst: Slow Love Season 3 Best: Holly Jolly Secrets 1&2 Worst: Still Season 4 Best: I Remember You Worst: Web Weirdos Season 5 Best: Finn the Human & Jake the Dog Worst: The Suitor

There’s this upcoming fan project for the pc version called Kyler V2. It’s basically a mod loader/custom server browser. Once that comes out the game will dramatically improve. User generated content is the single best way to keep a game alive. Mods are the reason why Half-Life, classic Doom, Age of Empires 2, and numerous other games with an already solid foundation haven’t faded away and become niche titles.

The game is still incredibly mediocre imo. There's a reason why Battlefield 5 and 1 continue to maintain a bigger playerbase and that's because the infantry combat is far superior to the shallow and watered down version from Battlefront 2. New maps and heroes are cool but ultimately futile when matches are still limited to a measly 20v20, loadout customization is still a joke, vehicles are still uncooperative, and the infantry class system is still more akin to Call of Duty than Battlefield, the main inspiration of the original Battlefront games.

I appreciate your enthusiasm, but you're sadly mistaken if you think that we should be appreciative or forgiving for being given a shoddy product at launch. The developers have my sympathy, but their plight isn't my problem. I'm glad they fixed the game, but how better would it have been if they were left to cook? The game was RAW on release. Did it get better? Yes. It is a very good game now, after all of its updates- but it should have been this way at RELEASE, not months afterwards. Even so, it was still left woefully underdone, even after their patch cycle was over. Is it a great game now? Yes. But it didn't need to be this way. I won't forgive EA for their mistakes here, and you shouldn't give them a pass just because Dice was rushed to develop the game as quickly as possible. I'll add that what is actually killing the gaming industry are publishers who do not understand that game development takes time, and developers who squander that time. It is not our responsibility as consumers to support a shoddy product, even for a property we really love. And I say this all while being an avid fan of this game, by the way. I really, really like EAfront II. But you should NEVER settle for a game or "stick it out to let it grow." That's not how products work. How would you feel if you bought a car with the expectation for it to work properly, but when you take it out of the dealership you find that it has no tires, a cut breakline, and is leaking fuel?

@@Sparkedout the point I’m making is this- the expectation should be to have a functional, desirable product at launch, not months later. It is naive at best to treat every game as a live service, and even more so to treat live service games as acceptable. I think some people over in the LOTR fanbase might have some things to say. Also I have something to point out. Not saying this makes the movie worse. But anyone who says "Luke was foolish for not listening to ghost Obi Wan and Yoda, when leaving Dagobah." is not reading the situation clearly. If Luke had listened to Yoda and Obi Wan. His friends would have been tortured or killed. Which Han Solo already was being tortured on Bespin. But Luke didn’t show up when he did. Vader would have immediately made sure Leia and Chewbacca would be taken to his ship and they would have been in even bigger trouble.

I am Mr. Stinky Disagreeable and I say you make some compelling arguments for Empire's greatness, but StarWars77 is the greatest action/adventure movie ever made. Further, StarWars77 is not a simple story. For example, Darth Vader IS Luke's father in SW77. "The Force is strong with this one." That line is but a morsal of the multi-layered, impeccable cadence of SW77. I'm not trying to tear anybody down. But it does get my panties in a bunch whenever seemingly thoughtful people miss the crucial detail: Empire leans on SW77 from start to finish. SW77 has everything and Empire simply does a few nifty things with all of that. kzbin.info/aero/PLwfxx_7ZXUJgnss333QGbhsLwrxW6L5C0&si=lGrv1toJgnXCv7iN

When I made that remark, I was not criticizing SW77 but analyzing how because of the risk it proposed to George, how he had to keep it in line with what mainstream audiences could enjoy. Also Empire does lean on the original as every sequel does; but empire doesn’t do it nearly as much as any other movie. It fleshes out the original rather than relying on it. Thanks for the feedback though ❤️

@@Sparkedout truth be told. I'm constantly on the lookout for a debate on this subject because most Empire fans casually imply that Empire's superiority over SW77 is obvious. Anyway, thanks for the polite response!

Sparkedout, You are the perfect example of why these movies have endured like no other movies. I was 12 years and saw Empire on opening weekend. The Vader revelation brought an audible gasp from the audience and one lady in the back actually screamed, “Oh my God!” It is the exact moment that plunged the franchise into its dark heart. It was mind blowing troubling. My assumption you are much younger than I. The fact that you can love the same movie that I loved 44 years ago is a testament that these terrific stories are cross generational. @Sparkedout Regarding the third one-- despite what you may have heard, it's not terrible. It's a solid film with a terrible performance. Coppola should've left his daughter out of it and cast a different, more experienced actress in her place. Does it reach the heights of the first two? No, but what film could? Is it good on it's own terms? I think so. If the characters were not named Corleone, and if the film didn't have "the Godfather" in the title, and if it didn't have the baggage associated with either, it would be considered an excellent gangster film.

I remember the mistake Hans Zimmer made when he said something like (not exactly) : well, why did they use “old style” music in futuristic science fiction movies? I would have approached it with more modernity. I love that there are still composers (like John Williams) out there who can translate in great detail and depth our collective feelings towards the awe of nature and how we are compelled by its beauty, so much so that we try to use some of the for us visible systems behind it to create art! Because, that’s what true art is all about ❤
@Stratmanable
@Stratmanable 2 ай бұрын
Beauty is subjective, and I'll take Hans Zimmer's scores for both Dune films, Trent Reznor's and Atticus Ross' score for the Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, or Jerry Goldsmith's score for the 1968 Planet of the Apes over John Williams's derivative oh-golly-I-wish-to-jiminy-I-was-Holst windbaggery any day of the week.
@Stratmanable
@Stratmanable 2 ай бұрын
And another thing-- I'm a composer, and I still say the less music in a film the better. John Williams fills the films he scores with so much music at no point does the audience have a moment of silence to reflect on what it's seeing without being told second-by-second how it should feel about it. His film scores aren't scores so much as they are wall-to-wall carpeting.
@jesustovar2549
@jesustovar2549 2 ай бұрын
@@StratmanableWhat a great insult, and you call yourself a composer, you must show at least some respect, Williams is a master of his craft, he's 92 years old and still conducting professional orchestras, he is even well versed in jazz since a young age, he met the greats such as Henry Mancini and Miklos Rosza, he's probably the last of his kind when it comes a to a post-romantic composer in Hollywood (I know about the Holst thing, but that's because Lucas originally wanted a type score alla 2001: A Space Oddysey), there are moments of silence in Star Wars, especially in the original movie, like the trash compactor scene, which originally had music but was cut. "The less music in the film, the better", you want a film with no score? There you have, The Birds, and even still, Bernard Hermann helped in the sound design. Shame on you, really, cause I agreed with your comment above on The Godfather Part 3.
@Stratmanable
@Stratmanable 2 ай бұрын
@jesustovar2549 He's also as predictable as the alphabet. The use of music in a film isn't binary. There is a wide spectrum between constant glop and no music at all. Eric Rohmer rarely uses music in his films, and Bergman has made several where the only music is played by a character on an instrument, or coming from a radio or record player. Both are better filmmakers than George Lucas. Of course, so's a hammer. The trash compactor scene is the exception that proves the rule. The wall-to-wall music is more of a bad directorial decision than that of the composer, I suppose. Just because I'm a composer doesn't mean I share everybody else's taste. In fact I think it safe to say that since I am a composer my tastes are a lot more varied because my frame of reference is more broad than the average listener's. Most fanboys pull John Williams out of their asses because they've never watched anything that isn't a science fiction, fantasy, or comic book film. Talking of Bernard Hermann, his score for Citizen Kane is only about 20 combined minutes of music, and the scenes without it provide a context for the scenes with music to really pop. The same with Mancini's score for A Touch of Evil. It's no coincidence that both films were written and directed by Orson Welles, who is to George Lucas what a fine Bordeaux is to grape Kool-aid. Akira Kurosawa, a filmmaker much admired by Lucas, also used music sparingly. Watch both Ran and Throne of Blood to see how less music heightens drama better than when it's ejaculated onto every frame. For contemporary film, watch Lars and the Real Girl. David Torn is a master of placement and dynamics. His score is intimate, and quirky, and the cues are well-placed by the director. That Williams is 97 years old has no bearing on the way directors use his music in their films. That he met Henry Mancini and Miklos Rozsa isn't the same as having studied with them. David Torn didn't just meet Leonard Bernstein. He was actually one of Bernstein's students. I'm not going to slag John Williams. He's great. I guess what I'm not always enthusiastic about is how his work is used by many of the directors with whom he's worked. My other point is that there are other composers whose work is comparable in quality but whose efforts are better utilized by the filmmakers with whom they've worked.
@Stratmanable
@Stratmanable 2 ай бұрын
@jesustovar2549 Also, regarding 2001: a space odyssey, THAT film is mostly silence, and what music there is was not written for the film, but rather pre-existing pieces of orchestral music. None of them by Holst, incidentally. If you're going to cite an example please try to cite one that supports your position rather than undermines it.

I disagree. I used to think that The Empire Strikes Back was the greatest Star Wars movie of all time. Until one day, I realized that TESB has filler/side/subplots in most of the film. Okay, I'll break it down for you. What is the main (no sub) plot of the prequel trilogy. It's Jedi versus Sith. You can stretch a little, but that's the bottom line. What's the main plot for the original trilogy? It's a Galactic War, more specifically, The Empire versus the Alliance. So in TESB, after the battle of Hoth and all the way to the very end, is filler film. Sure, you can like that. But without the prequel trilogy giving life to the Jedi vs. Sith beyond what Obi-wan says in IV, TESB is mainly a fillgap film. Therefore, episode IV, which continually drives the movie forward with small dips of sub-plots, has more perfection than TESB. But I enjoy TESB more, too. I'm just saying that it's far from perfect.
