Just select your layer after its isolated and double click the layer then select outer glow, then your glow options, waayyy easier than what is done here.

The seinhiezer is clearly so much better, by your test alone. Yet ive been a location soundy for over 20 years. The seinhiezer is just as clear, not muddy at all. Yet the ambient noise is so much louder on the rode. The entire point of a shot gun is a super directional cardiod pattern. Ths rode is picking up heaps of traffick noise, the air-conditioner.... you ran out of time? So you dont own either of these microphones. Who gave them to you. Re the studio noise. Were you picking up the noise on any other microphones. Did you test any other microphones? It sounds like dirty spill from eletric cables or the like. Im assuming you turned off all the lights?
