Does it shoot any better for that amount of money you invested in the firearm? Mine is stock from Ed Brown to dealer. While I like what was done with the barrel crown little else interests, personally. Hope your enjoying yours and Thanks for posting and sharing

Definitely NOT simple like taking the slide off a Glock. Lol. Only thing I don’t like about the design of 1911's. They could have designed the field strip to be much simpler and faster. Especially if you need to clean your weapon quickly when you're in battle.

I've owned both. The Yaesu has a much better receiver. The Kenwood does not use a modular mic plug. Yaesu made an FT-2000, not an FTDX-2000. Also the FTDX-1200 has 6 meters.

I really appreciate. I just bought one and when I saw your video it made me more happy that I bought one. Really thank you.

I'm surprised it didn't require a sight pusher tool. The tolerances on a lot of 1911 dovetails is scary tight.

It’s for handfeel and nothing else. The disco is in the down position during the firing sequence until the trigger is released. Also that part is called the stripping block and disco raceway, and the cut is called a Marvel cut.

WRONG on the history. The ATF didnt say they couldnt sell the full auto ones. They simply wanted to expand their market onto the title 1 semi auto markets. Title 2 guns, being the full auto ones. The stopped making them in 81 when the ATF declared certain open bolt semi autos (by name) as machine guns, due to how easy they were to convert. But for some reason the ATF didnt make people register them as such. They continued to sell full autos until Reagan sighed the FOPA in May of 1986. And closed bolt semi autos untill they went out business in the... late 80s(???) And the open bolt ban isnt an open bolt ban. Its only a ban on those on newly manufactured semi auto only open bolt models by name. It should/could be tossed out in court if we play our cards right.

Tonight at the range after sending a round down range, the firing pin, spring and retainer flew out the back. Thinking something broke I planned on shipping it off. Decided to search for videos and your video was there. 2 minutes after, my Eagle is back together ready for the next range trip. Thanks

The Federal HST hollow points are not coned shape, and in fact have a wider radius at the hollow hole than most other models of hollow points (mimicking the radius, in part, of ball ammo). This is why I selected it for my 1911. It cycles flawlessly. It has never hung up, proving my theory that the design of the tip aides in feeding in 1911s. My 1911 is a Tisas M1911 A1 US ARMY model (the latest incarnation) with an original 1911 military spec feed ramp. If it cycles in this gun, it will cycle in any 1911. Also, it is a 230 grain hollow point. Give it a try.

I put one on my Glock 42 at th same time added ghost edge connector and polished the trigger bar. I could not be more pleased with my results.I now carry chambered with Peirce+1 for 8 rounds of Underwood+p hollow point, 1200 fps out of my 42. Slider lock trigger makes me comfortable carrying chambered and in a pocket holster its easy to draw because as you pull out the pistol your finger is on the button for easy disingaging the safty instantly. I have practiced this many times at the range Now for me I have Glock reliability with peace of mind with manual safety.
