It looks good the way you have it now and the gold bead sight makes it even better. Now you need a good quality leather holster.

I just polished some parts I was going to titanium nitride gold coat the stuff like barrel, safety, mag release, etc... I think it would offset it, niot sure if matte or polished

well I only own this gun, but I know how to darken the pattern very easy. also I have a guy that offered me a trade I can get a Prismatic duller like I had before for $2400 and this gun. The dullers retail around $7200.00 So it would be a nice deal I have the cash and can swing it. what do you think? There both rare guns, The cabot is around $6500 new the Duller $7100.00

bulletsnbytes if it were me I would get another high quality gun with my money and build up your collection. The prismatic dualer is a show piece and really not practical. It's up to you and what you want, but to me it wouldn't make sense. Get rid of a good 1911 and more cash for one gun that you can't really carry . you had some really nice guns before and you could have another nice gun for$2300 and add to your collection instead of still ending up with one gun .

Beautiful piece, looks great the way it is, it’s all cosmetic and preference, everyone is going to have an opinion, as long as you like it and most importantly how it shoots.

i was thinking of titanium gold coating all the external parts and barrel hammer, trigger, safey, bushing, barrel, beavertail,guiderod, sear pimns, etc.. if you think titanium gold would lokk nice do you thin matte or polished..

Please get some nice grips to set this gun on fire the ones on there now SUCK BIG TIME.I am thinking of 5 difrent grips that would let say would scream take me out and shoot me.or carry me in a nice leather holster that screams class......just saying great pistol.
