Wow , the last time I saw you had the other Cabot. This gun is also nice to . I guess if you're gonna keep this one for sure is to get your name engraved on it. Now you need a Damascus knife to go with it which they make also, but a very nice 1911 and it looks good just like it is.

Now I have the chance to buy a prismatic duller the double barrel 45, I had before. now I can give the guy my gun and some money. The duller sells for about 7000.00 which is a rarer gun?

I collect custom Damascus knives and those must be really thin layers of Damascus steel for the pattern to be that wide the higher the layer count the tighter the pattern is that's got to be like a hundred layers or something

I actually think that some tasteful, gold highlights, would really set the gun off. That would really showcase the trigger, which I like; even though a lot of people don't. To me, it's a Cabot signature feature.
@bulletsnbytes62036 жыл бұрын
Well I am very confused because, I already sent out the parts to get coated titanioum nitride gold, but they cant do the trigger in nitride gold because its aluminum so I either have to do it in gold, anodize it, or use a different trigger was thinking of not doing it now let me know? Do you think I should proceed and do those parts?? And just figure out the trigger??
@bulletsnbytes62036 жыл бұрын
So I was going o return the package that I shipped out, but I decided now to not stop the order. I was just wondering about that trigger But I ordered a damascus trigger for the gun so I think that would be nice. So it would have a titanium gold, Hammer, Saftey, mag release, the sights front and back, barrel bushing, barrel, recoil rod, I and I am getting the Damascus Slide and grips redone and making them a little more polished and the contrast sucked from the factory. still in my head not sure about the trigger but like I said I found a Damascus trigger made by Caspian, I was think it would also break up all that silver

That's going to look AWESOME! I'm looking forward to seeing your videos when that all comes together. Cabot may have to sign you up as designer or consultant.

I would leave it as is except for that trigger. Those stars don't go with the rest of the gun. Otherwise pretty amazing weapon
@bulletsnbytes62036 жыл бұрын
I found a Damascus trigger its a calspan but its pretty nice and it a Damascus, you sure matte titanium gold would look good on all the external parts, barrel bushing, mag release, hammer etc..

I would definitely go with that caspian Damascus trigger. I'm not big on gold but from your past vids I know you love it. I would go gloss black on the parts you are thinking about in gold. Just my thoughts.

But really nice did they tell you what different types of steel they use and I slide can't be just stainless because Damascus is usually three different types of steals like one's really hard ones medium soft and ones real soft and the layer it and it gets like Forge welded I don't really know why you would want a Damascus Slide it looks cool I guess but the mascis is for cutting stuff because of the layers form little serrations under a microscope so it's a better Cutting Edge so it kind of doesn't make any sense but good quality Damascus will prevent rust but so would stainless I would like to see the process that these are made and what steals they use like I said I have very expensive Damascus custom knives that are damn near worth as much as you paid for a gun
@theanonymousone96686 жыл бұрын
Not a gun afficiando...at all. But $6400???? You gotta explain that one to me
@bulletsnbytes62036 жыл бұрын
Well it goes like this, A standard good quality 1911 is about $900 that's a gun made in a assembly line production. The parts most of the time are not really fitted or adjusted. They cast many parts from sand castings or use a MIM which is a part that's like a powdered iron composite they form and melt. Like a high quality solder. Also those guns are made by the millions, production line. no hand fitting, and they use fairly cheap parts. Ok so the next price-range is like $1100.00 to $2000 I would say these guns are of a higher quality, still production line guns and they still make a bunch, some MIM parts some hand fitting. These guns use like the others metal imported from overseas or third part blank or premade frame and sldies. Most of the time they also use third party barrels and trigger, etc... Grips, The next price-range is. about 2100 to 3300.00 these are your lower ed les baer, ed browns, some kimbers, These guns will have mostly parts made out of billet metal, they normal will make some of there own parts, but some steel and metals are still outsourced, They will include more features like, recessed slide stops, polishing etc... But they still be lacking some refinements. The next price range is the 3600.00 - $4600 gun, here your getting the most value, You will most likely still have a gun that's not all handmad, meaning blanks from third party companies, maybe a third party sight, trigger etc... Internals might be also from a third party maker. But you will get hand fitting and normally 5 or so people will work on your gun. by the way nighthawk will give you quite a bit features fro cheap. Cabot also has quite of bit nice features. Cabot by the way uses all there own parts and there all made in USA. Ok so now we get into the Supergrade Area, Wilson, cabot, etc.... I will put it like this. The cabot guns range from $3600 to 4.5 million. Wilson combat $3100 to $8,000 Nighthawk $3100 - $8900, Now heres the big one Bith Wilson & nighthawk use some third party metals etc.. there all hand fitted which is nice but it makes the gun no a dropin gun, meaning you have to fit everything. That's means the CNC machines are not that accurate. Cabot uses all USA made steel and parts they MAKE ALL THERE OWN PARTS, They have CNC machines that mill the guns about a tenth diameter of a human hair. There so well made there is almost no hand fittimng and all parts will fit each gun, The Gun you see here is all billet stainless steel, the Damascus steel is real not the fake powdered metal type. Cabot makes all there own. Its got all the goodies

bulletsnbytes, your reply to TheAnonymous One was perfect. I was going to make many of the same points; but you beat me to the punch. You have reached the pinnacle, my friend. Yes Cabot is a small company I think they have about 10 or 20 employees. They put out maybe 25 guns a year. The parts they use are all made in house.
