👎 Bought brand new and never used it. Gasoline poured from the carburator due to crap materials. Took the carburetor apart and cleaned it. Still gas poured from it. This is a common problem with this model. Make sure you use yours immediately before you can't return it.

Wow, you guys are really getting things done! Great Job. It's going to be a wonderful place to live in, it's really been transformed! I liked the spray gun info...we have a fence along our driveway and along our pasture that will need to be painted next spring/summer, and I was thinking I might get a battery sprayer but now I might buy a long extension cord and run a sprayer off our generator.

I have the same generator. Can I put the pump to the well, stove, fridge, freezer, hot water heater, and tv, lights, and computer on it?
@DadItYourselfDIY7 күн бұрын
It depends on what the electrical load is with all those items. I'm on city water and have a gas stove, so for me, yes. I'd definitely see what the draw is on the pump for sure.
@HH-zg8zm7 күн бұрын
Lol read your manual it has a break in period it tells you how to do it. If not you can shorten the life of your generator

We currently do not have A plan set. But for reference it's an 8' 20-sided (icosahedron) and it's 2' wide. It was made using a CNC and plywood, the skinned with 1/4" MDF. The font for the numbers is called "Playdown"

Your electrician didn't want to be filmed - that's bc he didn't install a proper TRANSFER SWITCH and what he did is not bonafide.
@DadItYourselfDIY8 күн бұрын
You're mistaken. I do not need a transfer switch with an interlock. My entire panel is accessible to the generator, not just select circuits. I am assuming you are not a licensed electrician in Washington, so are unfamiliar with our codes as well.
@KingdomUploader7 күн бұрын
@@DadItYourselfDIY im more like misinformed i think. was thinking about doing what you did but my house is really old and the wiring is very old plus i'd be worried about having my computer ran that way. I'd love to watch an oscilloscope measuring the waveform coming from your home outlets. your way is def more convenient than running extension cords everywhere :) More power to ya lol
@DadItYourselfDIY7 күн бұрын
@KingdomUploader You are correct about having the quality pure power. Generators are know to lack that. Just like every other appliance, I would only use essentials during an outage. I have also install UPS devices in strategic locations for routers, computers, etc.
@RichardPope8 күн бұрын
If the power comes back on while the generator is running and it still has gas in it, do you need to empty the gas out when you put the generator back in the garage for next time?

Can you use a primer on the counter particle board then put the rubber cement on? Thinking the primer would help keep the cabinet in better shape "if" there was a water leak. But worried the cement wouldn't bond properly.

To our surprise when we moved into our current house, we found out that all of the outlets on one of the walls in the garage were controlled by a switch inside the house that also fed the outside lights. We were going to place our freezer on that wall, good thing we didn't. Now we have maps of the different circuits of where the wires are run thru the house and the main box is all labeled correctly now. No more trying to figure out what the previous owner did. ⚡
