After 10 minutes of brewing won’t the coffee be just warm? Especially if you like to add a little milk. Would you recommend then using 25gr and then topping of with a little extra hot water when pouring into cup or simply reduce the 2nd brewing time from 6 mins down to 3?
@ChippCoffeeCo4 ай бұрын
I’ve found it’s more a comfortable drinking level of hot, but yeah if you’re adding milk in might be worthwhile adding some more hot water, of hot milk if you’re able to 😊
@MrPipmeister4 ай бұрын
You used preground coffee - but it the coarseness of the grind right for French Press, if it’s also for drip (like V60) ?
@ChippCoffeeCo4 ай бұрын
Yeah could still use the same coffee for filter, though I’d generally recommend a slightly finer grind for filter brews 😊

The coffee is really nasty Al of them, good coffee isn't sour
@ChippCoffeeCo6 ай бұрын
For sure, sourness and acidity are two things close but different in coffee quality where a great acidity in coffee is highly commended and sourness usually comes from poor preparation in the brewing of the end user. But also high quality acidity isn’t everyone’s “cup of tea” for people who prefer darker roasted coffee.

@@ChippCoffeeCo I knew you would answer and blame it on the way it's been made, the coffe before it goes in the machine it's smells already to sour, you're market can only depend on people who don't know what real coffee is so call it modern and maybe more gonna like it he, only people who don't know Wil like it is see people drinking it with a face like they drink vinegar..... The Indonesian gayo mountain you sell is bad tasting makes even the house smell bad for 2 hour, the same named coffee I buy from anathor store without the white label claim is really good and not sour, your coffee is just a misconception that is temporary liked by people who are probably lost just like you're business.

Great video! Created a nice smooth cup using your recipe! My personal preference is something a bit stronger so I usually do 60g coffee to 250-300 ml water (after watching similar videos and finding a ratio that works for me). That said, I’ve taken more to the moka pot for home made flat whites/cappuccinos...
@Dreah773 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the howto. I brewed my first cup the way I have always made it in a french press. The second cup I followed your suggestions. I can taste the difference (a novice coffee drinker here), smoother almost. It is worth taking the extra few minutes if i plan on drinking it black. If I plan on smothering it in flavored creamer, i am going to skip it.
Thanks for making this video. Very grateful, you can't really find good videos about q grading. Would love to chat coffee if you are around.

I saw a review of verystrongcoffee.com(kzbin.info/www/bejne/pJ66f4yYlJiEd68), and bought a bag the beans are so dark roasted, that the beans are very oily that coffee has ~1300mg/12oz cup(according to caffeineinformer.com) At this point im confused, like why does it have 1300mg caffeine with a dark roast? Are they adding caffeine or not? :/
