I have John Deere 7200 and the outer seal I replaced but still leaking like yours. I bought o ring to replace that piston that is on the spring but I grab it with my needle nose and it does not want to come out. I’m afraid to really get aggressive with pulling in case it is not meant to come out. Any advice?

The small plug in front of the filter is to drain the filter chamber so you can catch the oil instead of letting it run all over the tractor. There are two plugs atop this chamber plus a large one to reprime the chamber. This filter is HUGE and holds 1.5 qts or so. New filter gasket should be coated with new oil prior to installing. It is seldom a good idea to torque the filter on with the same tool you took it off with. JD says hand tight...it will not leak nor come off. JD says that even though the original manual does not recommend multi viscosity oils, it is now 50 years later and JD, CK-4, 15w40 Diesel Engine Oil is what is used today. With a filter change, this engine will take 17 US quarts.

John Deere has a special wrench for that back bolt on the starter.
@danalafever610 Жыл бұрын
This is a complete idiot - DO NOT FOLLOW this instruction. First off this is not at all how you release the tension. Follow your manual, raise the gate all the way, insert the large bolt (found inside the left (drivers side) door - that will lock the tension and when you lower the gate, you will have about 2 foot of slack. No need to release hydraulics, or spring - use ONLY THE BOLT! Next - you DO NOT need a four wheeler lol. If you still have the old belt in place, duct tape the new belt to the old belt and nurse the pto and you new belt will be in place in about 45 sec. If your belt is missing. - Release the pressure with bolt, lower the gate leaving room to get in, thread the belt by hand, takes 5 or 10 minutes tops to install a new belt. This idiot should have his computer privileges revoked for misleading people.

Good job, I learned several things that I needed for my job to work on a BR7060. Can you replace the splices in your old belts or just one belt instead of replacing all of them? I got one belt that was hanging on by 4 splice loops, started trying to put hooks back into the previous holes while still in the baler. That was hard to do so I pulled the belt out and it’s still on the back of the truck . The pins and hooks were much more worn than yours. Loops are completely open on a lot of the hooks and pins are about gone to.
@WormHoleFarming2 жыл бұрын
You should be able to put a short splice in. You want all your belts to be the same length. Otherwise it will put too much tension on the one belt and just rip the hooks out again.
@isaiahshaffer2 жыл бұрын
Well I’m about to try this on a 648, we have the endless belts now but they are coming apart, figuring out how to pull the new ones through will be the tricky part but this video helps a lot on the process, thanks!

hi i have a new holland 650 and the rap system is jam does not come back it stays in rapping position and i cannot make it come back from the bale command
@WormHoleFarming3 жыл бұрын
I don't understand you problem. Are the string arms tripped and staying in the middle of the bale?
@kiddinbarton92772 жыл бұрын
Apply 12 volts to the actuator, reverse the polarity to move the wrapper in or out .this will let you see whether it’s working the way it supposed to.Had an actuator break once before, 800 bucks for a remanufactured which is better than the one that came on the baler new.$50 core charge. BR7060 with about 7 or 8,000 bales on it now.

do you know how to add fluid to the bale tensioner hydraulic piston?
@WormHoleFarming3 жыл бұрын
Yes. Unfortunately it's a long drawn out affair. It requires a special tool to hook on to the Hydro cylinder to add and subtract fluid. As bad as I hate to say it; you're better off letting the dealer do it. It's not worth the price of the special tool, to do it yourself.
@RayMillTN13 жыл бұрын
@@WormHoleFarming I just did the procedure - It involved hooking up a hose from the Tractor to the special connector and exercising it a few times. which includes hyper extending it .I did however not move the auto-wrap arm out of the way and "knocked" it out of adjustment - but I have dense bales again! and by knocking out of adjustment I mean- I bent the pivot pin it rides on - not bad broke - but auto-wrap is not auto anymore. hopefully an easy fix.
@jeffstout65672 жыл бұрын
The manual with the baler explains it, not hard and the hydraulic fitting is a air chuck fitting

Yes John Deere is a rip off
@darenholzinger45873 жыл бұрын
One thing I found that helped is that if you wrap on some haywire to the extension close to the socket, you can guide it up to the nut more easily because the fingers don’t fit in very good

How do the diamond top belts compare to the original mini rough top. Do you find the baler starts bales better?

I put the same style that it had on it. I can tell that the bales start quicker and I have less "Plug-up" when starting a new bale. Hope that helps.

I know its been awhile, but how wide is the trailer you loaded it on? I have a 5 ft wide trailer x 10 ft long, and wondering if it would fit? CFMoto says it is57.6 inches wide, which in theory would barely fit.

Enjoyed the tour of your place. I was trying to figure out if that was water on the ground there. It’s been so dry here in south Texas I forgot what it looks like. I’ve got a JD rotary cutter like yours and just finished replacing the pto shaft from becoming bent from a frozen up slip clutch not slipping. I pull it with a 4230 just like yours. It will definitely cut large brush 2-3” in diameter. 4” material is a little hard on it. Where are you located? Thanks, again.
