One thing I found that helped is that if you wrap on some haywire to the extension close to the socket, you can guide it up to the nut more easily because the fingers don’t fit in very good

John Deere has a special wrench for that back bolt on the starter.

They for sure a pain to install I put one on my 2020 and it’s all one person can do to put it on to hold it and to get one started and the one for my old 6410 I feel sorry for whom ever has to change that one

Yeah, both are a pain to change. With the 6400 ya ain't got enough room between the loader mount and the frame.

first take that delco starter and throw it in the river, there crap !!!!! not made in usa no matter what the tag says. most stuff from china. if you want a good starter utube denso starter john derre. as for a seal they do have proper gaskets/ starter wieghs bout 55#.
