THANK You! We have a GE GNE29GSHCSS fridge, and the GE website is showing Part #WR60X20880 was the original part, but has since then been superseded by Part #WR60X35205. Now this is where it gets complicated...the fan that's currently in the fridge is a #WR60X10356. I assume that replacing the fan with the 10356 would do the trick and we should assume that no software update is needed?

Mine doesn't leak or make any ice. The tray is simply empty and the Fridge Manager says the Ice is Full. I think it would start making ice again if it didn't think it was full.

We have the exact same fridge. About a week ago we defrosted the fridge and restarted it, shortly after the freezer didn’t freeze food. Today we did a reset on the control panel and a couple of hours later the fridge was 24 degrees celsius warm. We’re getting a Samsung technician here in a few days.

Hi buddy, thanks for your video. I have an LG DLEX3700V dryer that's giving me the error code TE1. I looked it up online and found that it might be a bad thermistor. I ordered a new one (model 6323EL2001B) and replaced it. I measured the resistance of the old one, which was about 8K ohms, and the new one reads around 10.8K ohms. From what I found online, the normal range should be around 11K ohms, so I think the new thermistor is fine. I also tested the round thermal fuse you mentioned in your video, and it reads 0.04 ohms, which seems normal. I took apart the vent and cleaned everything, inside and out. There’s no dust or blockage near the two sensors. After reassembling everything, I double-checked all the connections to make sure they're tight. I also measured the resistance at the yellow and blue wires leading into the control board, and it shows around 10K ohms, which means the connection to the board should be fine. Once I put everything back together, I reset the dryer by holding the start button for five seconds while it was unplugged. But when I powered it back on, it ran for a few seconds and then showed the TE1 error again. I tried restarting it a few times, but the TE1 error keeps coming up. Do you think this could be a control board issue? The board is pretty expensive, so I don’t want to buy one without being sure. Could you help me figure out how to use a multimeter to test the board and what kind of readings I should be looking for to determine if the board is bad? Thanks for your time, and I really appreciate any help you can offer!
@onlineappliancetech16 күн бұрын
It sounds like a faulty control, similar to the one in the video. If you've tested everything as mentioned in your comment, the issue is likely with the main control. Let me know if this works!

This video was the first I looked at. It described the problem perfectly. The repair video was perfect every step of the way. The evaporator hose was completely clogged. Once it was removed and flushed into the sink, all was back in good working order. I used a hairdryer to get rid of the ice buildup as I don’t have a steamer. It probably took a bit longer, but no real difference I imagine.

Excellent video - love how you actually waited for the sounds. I have the french door version of this fridge and have a similar sound, but its slower and makes 2 cycles - tick tock...tick tock (vs what you have here - tick tock tick tock tick tock rather quick). I thought the same thing that a solenoid was making 2 attempts to do whatever it was trying to do and then stopped. It's really random when it happens, but the noise cycles are always the same. We were having issues with the defrost, but replacing the harness that wires the heater coil. Have you ever heard that type of noise?

I’ve got a GE fridge with a WR55X11029 inverter. Compressor not kicking on. From everything i read and see, the control voltage input should be between 4-6VDC. Im getting an input of around 14vdc. Im assuming a motherboard problem but was curious to know if it should still run at 14v, and perhaps its the compressor. Ive already replaced the inverter with no change and i checked the compressor windings. The windings were a little high… 16 ohms rather than 6.5 ohms, but all three posts read the same What do you think could be the problem. By the way, this defect occurred after our recent hurricane and it was being run for several days off of a generator

Nice video! Is it normal for the solenoid to make that clicking sound after power up? Seems like it was clicking several times at the very beginning but also clicking after you changed it. Thanks
@onlineappliancetech23 күн бұрын
The unit should click 2-4 times, but if it continues clicking repeatedly, it likely means the solenoid is defective and won't allow the top or bottom unit to cool properly. If you notice continuous clicking, as shown in the video, this is probably the issue. Hope this helps!
@czele12323 күн бұрын
@@onlineappliancetech Thanks so much for reply. I only get few clicks on power up, so that is normal. Seems like solenoid is doing its job. My fridge is fine but freezer isn’t cooling much. I am afraid freezer capillary is partially restricted. Quite disappointed with 5year old Whirlpool refrigerator 😔.
