Hello, thank you for sharing your knowledge, how do I know the correct numbering of the sensor since I see that on eBay and Amazon they come out with different numbering?

Just saved me $250, awesome video. My washer was an LG combo washer/dryer model number WM3477HW. I was getting error code LE. I was able to follow the video pretty much exactly. One tool I did have to buy was a 10mm wrench. Not sure why the LG washers use 2 different measurement systems for the bolts.

should I be getting resistance readings on any others? When I test the red and blue together I am getting 19 ohms.

Hello, thanks for the nice tutorial video, since watching your video im git learn.a lot to understand how direct drive inverter works.. but my current problem with LG top load direct inverter is whenever im try to spin mode, it running at first but suddenly comes a loud sound like clanking gear clutch.. even though im already changed the hall sensor, motor drive clutch and clutch mechanism gear...it is possible that mine related to a wash plate problem? Or bearing failure?

Could you please provide the model number of your device? I'll look into the issue for you. Also, have you inspected the rotor? If the internal part of the rotor where it connects to the shaft is stripped, it could be the reason for the gear noise. I hope this information is helpful.

@@onlineappliancetech it is WF-HD160GV, top load 16 kg, what kind of internal rotor? It is the plastic mechanism in the drum gearbox that be driven by cluth motor?

The LG3400CW Washer I have has no hall sensor. it only has one plug in spot on what I believe is called the rotor

I understand your situation. It's quite rare, but I've encountered LG Washers without the Hall Sensor on the motor. Before you begin any testing, please make sure to unplug the washer for safety. Are you facing an LE error code? If so, here's a step-by-step approach: First, check the motor winding. If that's fine, then inspect the wiring from the main control board to the motor. A break in continuity might indicate a cut wire in your harness. If everything else seems in order, the issue could potentially be with the main control board. Although uncommon in models without a Hall Sensor on the motor, it's still a possibility. If at any point you're unsure about handling these repairs, I highly recommend contacting a professional appliance technician if not comfortable with diagnosing . Safety and correct diagnosis are key. Hopefully, this guidance helps you in diagnosing the problem more effectively.

It really is odd. The LE code comes on part way through a cycle on some loads but not others. Seems like a medium to large load causes the LE shut down. Took the thing apart today to find there is no hall sensor... Put it back together ran a small load of clothes and no issues occurred. I feel like I'm doing laundry in the Bemuda Triangle.@@onlineappliancetech

i open mine washer.. but there is no hall sensor… im lost for now.. my washer model F2721HTWV.. anyone have an idea where is the hall sensor is located?

If the motor doesn't have a separate hall sensor, it's likely embedded within the MPC. First, inspect the wires from the main control to the motor for any cuts or loose connections. If they're intact, then the hall sensor is likely integrated into the main control board. In other words, you'll need to replace the MPC to resolve the issue.

The tub (drum) spins hard even by hand. Is this because of the motor sensor?

I've replaced the hall sensor, the coupling and the suspension rods. Still have an LE Error code. It's driving me crazy! Tub spins smooth. Seems like a phantom

You might want to check inside the rotor to ensure it’s not stripped, as this could be causing the noise. Also, did you replace the Hall Sensor with an OEM part or an off-brand part? If it’s an off-brand and not OEM, that could be the issue.
@brandonfrentrup

@onlineappliancetech yeah I used all OEM Certified parts. There's no noise. It's smooth when it runs and the tub and agitator run perfectly. That's what's weird
