I think if you want to hide a bunch of small things youve done you do something like a textured roof that is so big and bold that its takes everyones attention. Clearly it worked very well because were still talking about it in 2024................😎😎

I have never watched one of your Indycar videos and not shed a tear. Beautifully done. First 500 was 1997 and my 20th was 2024, grew up in Speedway, Indiana... thank you for what you are doing.

Nascar didn't wanna find out how powerful Dale SR was. He had an Army behind him. Nascar only had money and terrified of losing it. Dale SR had enough clout to start his own successful series. You never heard a story about any other driver living on France JRs boat. The only driver that could make a difference because of his Nascar fans, an estimated 37% over 43 other drivers in 2000. Millions of fans no other driver but Gordon came close in merchandise and we all know his partner was 😂 at a time not one section of Walmart didn't have a Gordon or Earnhardt can opener, baby clothes, Huggies did a Nascar diaper for a limited time 😂 curtains, womens panties 😊 they were everywhere literally.

You forgot to mention that the first year the IRL used old CART chassis . If the Champ Car guys wouldn’t have sold them chassis, they would have had nothing to use. The IRL would’ve been finished.

I thought vehicle design was part of the game ! Now NASCAR wants to remove any advantage one brand may have over another ? Most of them already run the same chassis , same rear ends ( Ford ) ..............so the only big difference is the engines ! Ha ! NASCAR why don't you just design your own body shape , chassis , rear ends & engines .............then all of them would be the same ! You just removed all the fun of racing ! NASCAR dies !

CART races in the later 90 years were absolutely amazing! Without the Split I’m pretty sure Indycar would become a world series with big crouds and tv ratings for every race.

_I'll preface this with saying that I value and appreciate the preservation of film/videos of motorsports events. So the text below could be the plausible temperament of TV station/network executives when it comes to the lack of preservation of past events on video:_ From a plausible corporate point of view of why videos are lost of past televised events; and or TV shows, based upon anecdotal info I've heard about TV executives - An aspect that TV viewers and race fans needs to be aware of when it comes to broadcasts of entertainment and sporting events: They are a means to attract a TV audience, where time is sold to advertisers, and the TV station/network profits from it . . . and that is it! TV stations/networks are a for-profit enterprise, and not institutions for the preservation of media materials. In their approach to the business of television, the broadcast generated the advertising revenue needed to keep the station/network operational. The telecast fulfilled the for-profit goal and is yesterday's news. What would be the purpose of saving a video of last week's Indy Car event? Can it generate future revenue for the station/network? If it offers little in the way of generating future revenue, then scrap it. Reuse the video tape for the next project, as video tape is expensive and we have budget constraints. Resources are needed for future revenue-generating broadcast projects, not for saving yesterday's telecast. Preserving video of past motorsports events is a financial drain when it comes to handling and storage, and the video tape is reusable. The above is not supposition, but from the telling of stories from friends of mine that have worked in local and network television.

Now they need to rest every 25 laps. But when you control the nascars parts monopoly you want to make sure the cars stay bunched up to bring out more cautions. The more wrecks the more those few places they all now have to buy their parts from the hand pricked parts suppliers that nascar makes them all buy from. It's not about the race anymore it's about nascar taking the drivers and fans for all their worth. My Uncle raced stock cars and race boats we are a family that used to watch NASCAR before most people even knew about it. We have traveled to 8 different Nascar tracks to see races live with yearly tickets to Daytona/Speed Week and I can't watch it anymore. The greats have mostly all moved on. There used to be so many different ways a race could be won, Stuff like "Short Pitting" "Fuel Mileage" Even just super fast cars like Bill Elliot coming back from 2 laps down to win under long green flag run at Talladega . Sometimes just plain luck gets the win or 2 tires instead of 4. Now the winner is just the guy who was able to avoid the most wrecks that day..
