If I am a paying customer. I will absolutely show up when I please and expect a certain quality for what I am paying for. You can’t compare free dinner party guests with paying customers and expect the same level of appreciation. It’s business

I think it’s safe to say, that when Gordon can’t even realise he’s fucked a simple Toasted cheese sandwich in a video, and still uploads it and pretends it’s a good, delicious toasted cheese fucking sandwich, dude needs to get back to his roots. Don’t get me wrong, I do enjoy his content, he’s an amazing businessman, but his chef skills are starting to lack as he’s too successful in the bigger business side of things. No one who calls themself a chef, let alone someone of his caliber, should be proud of that abomination he served.

If he felt he was bisexual, but stayed monogamous with his wife, then no harm done. When you start playing away then you have crossed a line. Being Bi doesn’t give you a pass on promises made. He should have come out, left his wife and been honest about who he was. It would have been messy, but at least he would have been honest.

one other reason he returned the Michelin stars is because he knows people will still regard him as a Michelin class chef, with or without the star, because it had already happened, so he doesn't actually lose the stars.

Competition is brutal for farmers and our economic model just makes it worse. At some point the way we do things needs to be more important than the goal. We need to have a good, stable and secure method to provide a large % of the food locally but until now every time the government gives out subsidies or tax breaks for this purpose the middle man will try and suck out ever last cent to make their investors happy and after hundreds of billions spend we still can't compete with China, India or Brazil. There is a foundation flaw in the current way we do things. That said it isn't just a "they have to solve this" kinda problem.Farmers will have to recognize the competition and find ways to be more competitive and recognize that the many parties they work with need the same mindset. We need more transparency in the supply chain I can tell from personal experience there steps in the supply chain that take double digit profit margins.

Brexit could have been so good for the country. But politicians flubbed the shit out of it by leaving the farmers and companies that became dependent on a european system out to dry and deal with their massive government policies. It didn't limit government at all even though it's supporters thought it would.

the thing about the EU subsidy, is that was the UK's money anyway as a net contributor by a factor of 2-1, so the government could have kept them at the same level, doubled them if need be It's so annoying , they made the choice not to support farmers, even though they had the cash to do so

I know more about this situation as I am friends with the son of one of the owners of the aubergine ( when it was open) Ramsay was a real bastard here, that doesn’t mean he isn’t talented just that greed and ego tend to allow him to do immoral things.

The fact that a white guy born in Doncaster has to act as if he reviles the n-word out of virtue is hilarious. What, is Jim Crow summoned when you say it into a mirror 3 times? It’s obviously not a very nice thing to say, but why have we as a society allowed it to become the verbal equivalent of an atomic bomb? Even saying it outside of context can get someone fired. Ridiculous.

I think chefs who act like they do should not be permitted. It’s morally better to serve mediocre food than to serve great food whilst being abusive. I like Ramsay’s stuff, but Marco seems undeserving of his success with how he acts.
