Oh yeah, another thing. Once you start the job, make sure that you take all PTO ( paid time off ). Sickleave etc. etc.. Remember, once you start working at a job, you are totally replaceable at that job. Even if you are the CEO. Life is short.. PEAK YOUR PURSUIT, & have fun.😊👍

Tanner....da man, awesome news about the new career opportunity ahead for you. Gald to hear you haven't been wheels up, run off the road, in a snow drift for weeks. Life is a highway of opportunities and choices and the timing part, that's usually the one variable that's the least predictable. No map, no GPS, we roll with the opportunities that keep us moving forward, we pass on those that don't, and we redirect when some opportunities have run their course or new opportunities arise. Dare to leap, embrace the risks, court the discomfort and just try not to spill the black water tank on ya!. Your core values around the philosophy of peak pursuit don't have to end or change just because you're pursuing a new peak. Van Life may be at a rest stop for the foreseeable future, but you are a gifted communicator that still has a future in KZbin if you want it. You make pretty grounded decisions, you flip fear into motivation, you pursue goals, and you stay committed to your values, fitness and your mental health. That's why I subbed, followed, and gave you equal doses of crap and praise. You may still have a lot of life ahead to keep figuring out, but you have a pretty solid grounding to do it and a great story to share.... so don't toss in the camera and drone in with the van sale just yet. Take some time, you'll figure it out. I met this really awesome dude from MT that you should really keep in touch with. He said, "I believe in the heart’s compass over the map's certainty, in the pursuit of a peak that is UNIQUELY YOURS. ....the greatest loss is a life lived in the shadow of complacency, never daring to chase the horizon of your aspirations." Pretty smart guy, check him out, his name is Mr. Tanner Smith, soon to be CEO and President of Peak Pursuit Homes and Construction 🏘 BTW, offer still stands whenever you need a break and a new peak to pursue. Now grab your hard hat, buckle up, another wide ride ahead TanMan 😎 Later dude, not gonna wish you luck and crap, you don't need it, you're gonna crush it 🔨👷♂🍅🌮🛻

Tan-a-rama ! Thanks for the up close and personal view of “VanLife - Behind the Glitz and Glamor” Nice job, that was a unique spin on the VanLife experience that was well balanced with its ups and downs. At 21/50, it looks like you are still riding far more ups than downs. It’s also impressive how quickly you’ve nailed down a routine and seem comfortable with all the details of the van tech, etc. I am still confused if you just reuse the same breakfast-prep video each time, or if you just eat the same breakfast each time - LOL. Either way, it still looks good. Interesting hearing some of your observations of East-coast vs MT....can't wait to hear your thoughts on the south and West-coast. Spent four years in grad school at UCON and loved exploring New England. I felt your pain at the low bridges, there are lots of them - I had a big SUV at the time, and I still ducked my head. Hate to say this but it doesn’t improve till you pass a few more states. FIY be sure to dodge the infamous 11foot8 bridge in Durham NC, it has millions of YT views - turned lots of trucks into convertibles. Sorry to hear your “people” haven’t cleared your C4 sponsorship yet, maybe Posterboy for Chapstick might be an option… LOL. Then again, I still think if you commit to this van gig till graduation, you could be the next big thing on Nflix. Then you expand into tour gigs, merch, Tanner-bobble-head and Vanny toys, - or hit it big when you get to Vegas. How did you do on the photo assignment? You should get an ‘A’ for the vlogs alone and extra credit for the droneage shots. Good to hear you got a break coming up. What are you looking forward to for 2024? Anything you plan to do differently with the van or your routine based on these first 21 states? Looking forward to the vlog-a-ton, you always keep it interesting and entertaining. When you're grinding on the edits, just know it is paying off, great job. Layer up and stay warm….even if it’s only 40 degrees…..(MT-man, how embarrassing, you basically live in southern Canada where 40 is a heat wave in winter, geesh). Drop it in D and let’s go….stay safe and Happy Holidays 🎄☃😎

Hi Rhino! Great to see you in the comments as always. I’ll keep my eyes peeled for that bridge in NC, and as for 2024 big things are coming. I have 2 big twists on van life that I’m super excited and just a bit scared of. Thanks for watching and supporting the 50 state journey and Merry Christmas!! Hopefully these next few day in the life style vlogs don’t get boring, but even if they do I hope you’re ready for what’s to come🎁

FYI bud real candles in an RV are considered a big no-no. In the event that you have a propane leak you will quickly be history. I had a leak once and scared me for life, thankfully I didn’t have a candle going and the detector alerted me in the middle of the night.

Tan Man!! (Which is what I was going for last time but a typo turned it in to ‘Bam’ which you do in some vids so I left it. Now that I know that’s in use by the OG Subs, we’ll leave that one to the Home Squad - LOL). Does the van have a name? Tanner HQ Mobile might work for the corp. name, but I got nothing in the marketing skills for the DBA name. It sure looks cool though, you need to get some epic van shots against some of the awesome scenic background views you come across. Great vid again and great theme. Easy to forget on this side of the cam, that the 15 min we see is a blink of time in the other 10,0650 minutes of your week. Cool to see how the week works but if you ever do a part 2, please….let me in on how you ‘make it work’ as far as keeping the focus, discipline, and balance. Post-COVID, I feel like I struggle with procrastination and distraction more and more. Are the travel and adventure days the reward for the grind days or do you have another strategy? I’m determined not to drag this bad mojo into 2024. Can we talk about 20/50, RI. Wow, it was like only a few weeks ago it was Bison burgers and Tiki bars. Never been to RI, but definitely sold on that Cliff walk and the views. Noticed you did edit out the parts where you were touring those homes deciding on which summer house you were going to buy….as a business investment of course….maybe expense it as a homework assignment for one of your courses. You’ve done well landing on some great spots… that tips the balance for those parking lot nites. Glad to see you worked the McTanner Chicken Wraps back into the script for this vid. Those looked amazing! What were you crushing up that went on the chicken and what was the secret sauce mix? I wanna give those a try but wanna avoid having to call poison control because I was randomly guessing at the ingredients. Looks like it was another great week. What was the lesson you learned on the road this week? I feel like you could have a new bumper sticker of life lessons each week. Certainly, an adventure of a lifetime, glad to hear you are enjoying the YT part of the travel and thanks for letting us all pile in the van for the ride-a-long. Haven’t seen the map in a while so don’t know where 21/50 takes us but looking forward to the adventure. OK, buckle up, whatz it gonna be tunes or podcast, drop it in gear….let’s go… Stay safe out there and happy holidays in MT 😎

Rhinoooo thanks for an awesome comment! As for the van’s name I accidentally called him Vanny one time and sadly it stuck with me. My technique to not get distracted is to keep all distractions away and leave myself nothing to do except work (I procrastinate by watching KZbin quite heavily though) as for the chicken topping, cornflakes and secret sauce was mayo and ranch seasoning (I used Buffalo ranch seasoning). This week I learned that filming 6 videos in a row will require a lot of editing this Christmas and content posting likely won’t slow down over the month I’m gone! Thanks again for always being in the comment section🚀❤️
