Some great ways to describe Dave mustaines singing voice… Vacuum cleaner enigma Gargling razor blades His voice was the hardest part of me to get used to, just listen to it over and over until you love it!

I've originally left this suggestion on the Discord, but I would love to see a Black Sabbath reaction. I also saw Patrick mention Judas Priest which I would love to see you react to as well. Both bands basically had the same early history of being born and raised from the slums of Burmingham, England and both bands have seen their fair share of ups and downs. Unlike Judas Priest though, Black Sabbath has seen many more lineup changes especially with all the unique singers ranging from Ozzy, to Dio, even to Ian Gillan. I'd love to see what you think about both bands.

Next time you guys listen to megadeth you should listen to Night Stalkers, it's from theys newest album, and I think that it should be more in line from what you originaly expected them to sound like

patrick, you're 100% correct with your observation that a lot of people really like their metal to sound relatively 'unpolished' and natural. and of course that goes even further with stuff like black metal and more crossover-y hardcore-influenced metal, etc. it's clear that that's not specifically what you look for in music, but i hope your appreciation for that kind of sound will grow...!
@zenoslime10 сағат бұрын
oh, and on that note: if you guys do some megadeth full album listens, i absolutely think you should START with rust in peace. most of their fans will agree that it's their best... though i would also recommend following up on that one with youthanasia, which has a much more midtempo, big, progressive and (i would say) polished sound--and with the same lineup!
@andrew7846011 сағат бұрын
I want you guys to do Extreme next if possible.

Thanks for the video. I'd like you to do another Megadeth poll. I think you need to hear somethings off Killing is my Business, Youthanasia, Cryptic Writings, The System Has Failed, Symphony of Destruction the song..... an even maybe even Supercollider ;)

These dudes know nothing about guitar and it’s hilarious they think Metallica is better in that aspect. These Metallica fan boys. “yayeeyeeaaahhh” and “taken my SIGHT! taken my HEARing!” Is just as bad to me as “you try to take his puuUuUulse” and “hello me!”. Be objective, every singer from the 80’s was simply bad. Don’t try and take James out of that tho lol. And btw not every metal breakdown or chugging sound automatically makes it “Metallica-ey”. I’d hate to hear you listen to Slayer and compare everything to them as well, welcome to metal. Bald dude judged when he found out Dave still had long hair? The jokes write themselves man 😂

If you want to hear melodies in the solos, listen to Youthanasia. That album is full of memorable melodies with the riffs and solos and vocals.

you should pick more megadeth songs you hit a few big ones but they have many more great songs, also you mentioned Judas Priest that would be awesome
@ayensharma939813 сағат бұрын
teh bald guy really needs to level up. Megadeth has jazz undertone, most albums are melodious. metallica is completely different. megadethg is state-of-the-art thrash metal band. if you think some part oftheirs sound like metallica, tells me that you havent heard or understood metal enough. maybe react to Nu-metal and alt-rock and leave early stuff.

Honestly, I think this is one of the worst analysis I've ever watched, half the time they were talking about Metallica and reapeting the same criticism(wich were valid) also starting with crush em would be nice if they went through some other songs, with that said I don't know these guys and if that's how they've been doing things and is what their audience enjoys you do you

I think you guys should really do some Pantera! They changed the course metal for the 90's, it's hard to find a band that was not influenced by Pantera after Cowboys From Hell and Vulgar Display Of Power. Dimebag is considered one of the greatest guitarists and Phil Anselmo's vocals were quite groundbreaking as well. Pantera's mixing and production may not be considered "great", but it's arguably a large factor in what makes them themselves. Especially with Dimebag's guitar tone.

Great edition here Patrick. In regard to your question about drummers joining an established band, you guys should react to Dream Theatre's drummer audition mini documentary when they hired Mike Mangini after Mike Portnoy left the band. It can answer some of your questions.

I LOVE the production of the original Peace Sells album. It was the best Megadeth ever sounded on tape in my opinion. And the rawness is such a cool thing. I love recordings where you can hear those little thigs like pedal switches and fingers sliding on the strings.
