I saw them open for Metallica in 2001 they were so much better live imo but I’m a live kinda guy the songs were balanced in a different way, more like a traditional rock sound vs the “industrial” album style.

A lot of their albums do sound that way it just tends to depend on what sort of style they were going for on that album. I think their album Transform is the best sounding "rock" album I've ever heard!

@@PatrickMusilek I’ll have to take a listen, never heard much beyond their first album

The Summer Sanitarium--that was the 2nd concert I ever went to. It converted me into a PM5K fan.

@@chriskeilman4092 Yes with Soad, Korn and Kid Rock. Hetfield was unfortunately not at our show he was injured, but it was pretty interesting all the other bands came out and played various songs with the rest of Metallica

@@Rcprobot Woah, that's super interesting. How was that?

Mr. Musilek is probably going to take this as a personal insult, but that second song sounded like an American knock-off version of Rammstein

No there's definitely a lot of Rammstein/ Powerman 5000 crossover for sure... Though you should more accurately say Oomph! and PM5K crossover...you know since they were first ;)

@@PatrickMusilek I don't know anything about Powerman, but I'd be surprised if anyone that has ever been in that band knows what Oomph is
