Thank you for this step by step tutorial 😁 my 2017 yeti’s touch screen is starting to have dead zones so i think i am gonna follow what you did. I got a couple of questions though: 1. After placing the new touch screen did you notice any glare ? Or did u buy an anti glare unit ? 2. Since i have exactly the same unit (and car) as you, can you please share the link where you bought the touch screen ? Much appreciated 🙏

Great video. Old touch screen slowly died, from my observations looked like hot weather speed up the process. I have same YD7 model radio so I have followed your process and it all works well now. £15 for new touch screen digitiser and £10 for tools. Hundreds saved.

No disrespect intended, but these GL1000/1100/1200 engines have a lot of little foibles that need to be addressed before firing them up properly. Cam belts MUST be replaced if you don't know how old they are or if the engine has been standing for a long time. They may look OK but if they break or slip, the engine will be wrecked. The carbs WILL need cleaning and cleaning again and preferably all rubber and plastic parts replaced with ethanol-proof items. Float heights must be spot-on. It looks like your carbs are flooding, judging by the unburnt fuel coming out of the exhaust ports. These engines will hydrolock if flooded with fuel. Please log on to Goldwingdocs forum and read some of the many posts for advice, before going any further. I know it's exciting and easy to get carried away but these engines do need extra attention to get/keep them running without damage. You'll love it when it's done - PROPERLY. Oh and the fuel system must be SCRUPULOUSLY clean.

If you need to replace the cam belt idler bearings , there is a common hyundai/kia bearing you can use . Drill out the old shaft to 12mm and counter sink the back , bolt new bearing on and use loctite 12mm countersink bolt and nyloc nut . Cheers

I have 2018 xrt and love it. however, The clutch engagement feels a bit numb, which requires a lot of weight during maneuvers in narrow spaces, especially when I have to enter the city. Do you experience something similar?

Yeah, I have to agree, when going through slow places, I find the gear box can be clunky. Though since I’ve ridden the fjr my riding style has changed, not sure if hard to explain, but where I felt like when turning it felt like I was fighting the bike now I just let it turn

Hi. Thanks for this great information. I did the exact same thing. When I turn on the lights. it immediately turns off after one second. I think two lamps draw too much current and fuse turns off and resets everytime. Just one light works fine left or right. Two in total exceed the rated amperage. How many watts are your fog lights? Do you know? Or fuse rating? Any info? Best regards. Derin
@SteveIt4 ай бұрын
Much appreciated for the comment And if I recall they’re about 15watts But does sound odd, either too much power, then would that blow a fuse? electrics isn’t my strong part. I think if I remember I looked at the watts for the oem fog light then found something close, possibly
@SteveIt4 ай бұрын
Looking further into it, the ones I brought where apparently 30w Then others say 125w and 15w To be honest doesn’t make much sense to me, as I believe as I said before I found some fog light that match the oem watts Sorry I couldn’t help further more
