Steve, can the Garmin mount be rotated on the evotech mounting plate so that the garmin xt is placed vertical?

I believe if I remember, when fixing the mount you can screw it in sideways

Nice Installation. My question is , when you lower the screen downward, does the garmin block the view of our speedometer, and or hit the windshield? I am 5’10’’ (1.78m), so my view is a bit higher. What about stability in rough road? Here in Quebec we have so many damaged roads , hard winters and colds damages our roads ( and bad government that doesn’t take care off them)

It doesn’t block the view as I’m 5,6 or 5,7 with the boots on 😆 or it doesn’t block the speedometer I’ve noticed it’s feels a bit heavy for the wind deflector as it shakes a little bit at 60-70mph so probably won’t be good for off road use, for slow speeds 30-40 not bad, I’m tempted to move it to my handle bars

So how did you connect it to the USB socket? "I'm going to feed it in here...." and then "done". Missing some detail on your soldering technique.

Oh sorry I didn’t solder it in, as from the video I pushed them into the 12v socket the wires that feeds the power for the socket

The rest of the SatNav wires I tucked away under the plastic

Well I guess you could take a wire to it, but does me alright, been using like that for a long while now, I think it’s more if I was to change my bike I can take it with me

After owning my Triumph Tiger 900 for 8 months now and after trying out so many things, there remains to be a BIG compromise to me. There seems to be no decent way to mount a Garmin or Tom Tom GPS on eye level position. I tried mounting on handlebars....no thank you (to dangerous to look down all the time) I tried this Evotech mount...no thank you( the screen vibration makes it totaly unreadable). I think the mounting spots used by evotech are not the way to go. TEST ? ....Start your engine and feel the difference with your fingers around 2500 RPM, comparing on a mid handlebar spot and a top windscreen spot. There's the problem with the tiger 900 Please, if anyone has a solution, send it, post it, comment it, suggest it

Yep works perfectly, used it round wales and other places, I just take it off when I’m in places
