Unpopular opinion coming, but I never understood why people like this movie more than Wyatt Earp. I like just about everything with Wyatt Earp and have watched more times than I can count. I thought Tombstone especially Val Kilmers performance was a little cringe at times. I thought Dennis Quaids Doc Holliday was way better, and I hated Kurt Russell as Wyatt

In Tombstone, Val Kilmer made all the actors look so amateurish! It was like seeing these actors did their acting and talking their lines until Val Kilmer walked in like he was Marlon Brando coming out of the shadow in Apocalypse Now and captured our imagination!

I love the touch that the ONLY person Johnny draws on and shoots in this scene is the priest. During the initial shootout he just stands on the edge of the fountain and stares at the steeple of the church, never drawing his gun. It shows he’s both distinct from the rest of the gang, distant from and above them and the conflict, yet the only person he fires upon is the priest, relishing his threat of damnation. Ringo feels like a man possessed sometimes. Like he’s looking into the face of the devil and can never unsee what he saw.

Seeing him in Top Gun Maverick kind of choked me up. It was pretty real because he's having health problems and they sort of made that a part of the film, and it made total sense after the years. Age has a way of abusing all of us. Val's performances are timeless to me.

Never have watched anything else so many times lol. Except maybe Old Henry

That's just fantastic! I've been studying this film, and indeed, Michael Biehn's face when he decides to fight really is a mastery of the craft of acting. I found myself repeating that scene over and over just to gawk at how he made the fire light up in Johnny Ringo's eyes.

Absolute legend. He was already known as a fantastic actor when Tombstone came out. But in that film, he was on a totally different level.

I have always loved watching this movie and it is cool to know how hard you worked on that last scene, and I have always noted the crazy look that comes into your eyes when you make that decision, that you are going to kill this guy.
