I have the Edwards version. I can't believe they went with ugly dot inlays in the expensive ESP version. Block inlays are so much better. Even Edwards uses block inlays.

Sadowskys and Sires both sound great. The thing that won me over with the Sire was how amazing the neck feels.

Two great basses, 2 different "voices": the CS is more "standard" P-Bass... and, IMHO, the P-Basses from 72 to 74 have a "distinct voice", that not even the guys at Fender's custom shop were able to reproduce!! (at least until now...)

For the love of "GOD!!!!!" All you guys "CHEAT!!!!" CHEAT!,...cheat!,...cheeeeat!!!" Yaw just refuse to do it in "FAIRNESS" My goodness!!!! Aaaaaah! 😱 1st,...a 5 string "SIRE" with a "ROSEWOOD" neck. 2nd,...a 5 string Sadowsky Metro,...with a maple neck. You're gonna get (2) different sounds. (PERIOD). Here's another "UNFAIR" comparison. Also,...you had the "SADOWSKY" colored better than the "SIRE". Can you do a Sire with a maple neck and show both basses controls set flat laying side by side? When you pick up one to do the video,...make sure the other bass can be seen in the background ready to be played when you're done with the 1st one?

Well, once again. Here we have an "UNBALANCED" comparison. The problem to me is, the basses don't have the same "FINGERBOARDS", they don't have the same "WOOD" tops, the Sire has a 4 or 3 band bass preamp, when the "SADOWSKY" probably have a 2 band bass preamp. Not a good comparison. Both basses should have equal preamp bands, same fingerboard woods, same body woods, same nut material, etc. So, I can't tell which one sound the best from two different companies. Thanks for trying. :D

Neck Thru is shy and less pronounced attack, but the fifth string is excellent, maybe I just miss that, because I felt the slap volume was very very low, despite the good sound ( 70's pickup position ). I had an Emperor Neck Thru for 10 years ( Alder + Ebony). Now I have a bolt-on Lakland 5560 ( Ash + Rosewood ) and i'm very satisfied overall, the bass is a Explosion in live or studio situations, don't miss Fodera. In this video I am surprised by the Set-neck.Warm tone in all situations

The 63 is just my favorite p bass. The 73 cuts through more, but the 63 is my love. I’m in love with my Fender American Vintage 63 p bass. The only other p bass that I could think of that just kills is the Moollon p bass.

I'm not sure about sound difference. So much is made of tone, sustain, etc. Both of these in a studio may be the same. Less discussed are feel and playability. I can say I have played one NT in my life and the feel was incomparable. I still dream about it. I wonder if someone could address feel.

@@arthritic with the Jazz bass you get the really slim neck and just a overall different feel. I use a plastic wrapped string on my PJ Bass and a litghter poppy string on my J Bass. To add to my collection I also have a Carvin I-con 5, it's totally different yet
