It's also a single coil vs dual coil(single mode maybe)...It's hard to tell the differences is from the preamp or pickups

Main big difference is that the bridge pickup on the 4-string is in 60s position, while on the 5-string it´s in the 70s position.

I can never hear a difference in the fodera's. Fodera's in general seem to sound basically the same unless comparing customs where someone made specific wood selections and pickup choices
