Why do you think so many are getting off ?
@bangonfishingadventuresАй бұрын
its part of fishing. Sometimes bad hooks, Its also very rippy in the water dont get the best hook set. The strong wave action could play a part in them getting off also.

Tighten your drag a fair bit, I would assume your using like 20lb leader so u could go full lock em without it snapping

Bang On is a gun salmon hunter sus his other vids
@rileytakahashi9471Ай бұрын
@@bangonfishingadventures point being, you’ll lose less fish if u tighten your drag, i was saying that for reference cause you could skull drag them in it just tighten up a bit, and lose less

thanks for you review. I have been considering it. The main drawback others who have bought seem to have mentioned is the (excessive) noise from the fan that kicks in with a load of anything over an amp or so (certainly a running fridge). would you agree?

Hasn’t bothered me at all but could be noisy in a tent sleeping

What is the salmon season?
@bangonfishingadventures2 ай бұрын
From year to year it changes a bit but most of my success happens between April to late september. Also depends what part of South Australia u target these Salmon trout tend to be around all year but chunk Salmon of +35cms are focused in seasons.

@@bangonfishingadventures thanks for that ... when do you think the best season for big salmon at Waitpinga would be? ... you don't seem to be using swivels ... any reason for that?

Nice thanks Are the fish natural or released by fisheries dept? No good to eat i imagine, I've caught big barra in the dams at mackay etc and they are no good for eating very fat and muddy
@bangonfishingadventures2 ай бұрын
Redfin have been there for decades, As for the callop eg Yellowbelly/golden perch, Cod and even rainbow trout have been stocked over the past 3years or so. Redfin are the best fresh water fish u can eat and can not be returned to the water like the natives can.

What bit of the resevoir is that? This is Myponga right? Does it take long to get to? I went there yesterday near the kayak launch, I used a TT Switchblade in motor oil and i caught nothing.

Yes it’s myponga. On foot takes me 30mins to walk to the other end of the reservoir. The water is low and the callop caught was just near the massive stump.
