Excellent device. Works great and predictably. There seem to be two issues, however: ` 1. Sometimes it seems as though the internal clock misses a beat; when I have slept [8] hours, the clock will say less than [7]. I need to document this, but it is so infrequent that I never have I actually logged it. 2. The functioning algorithm seems like it was written by 1st graders. If I sleep 7+ hours, that is the minimum for a potential perfect score. If I go to the bathroom (for less than ONE minute) I am docked one point on my "mask on/off." If this happens twice, I no longer have a perfect score, even though I have no choice but to remove my mask. This is the same score I would get if I slept for 5 hours, got up for four hours, then went back to sleep for another two...with one bathroom break. Those two scenarios are completely different, and they should not be calculated the same way!!!

Apparently there's a recent update that enables the hidden mic to listen in on your conversations. (Small, white circle located a few inches into the grey port, along the top.) Go to Home Screen, More, and scroll down to Acoustic Signal (under Airplane Mode) and toggle it to Off.

As most people are saying on here - new out the box, the cushion is almost impossible to remove form the mask. Considering the exorbitant prices Res Med charge for parts they really should address this - especially as this is something people have compained about for many years!

Hello, The first night I slept only two hours due to anxiety, and I want to sleep with the device again. My question is: should I remove the battery from the device and turn it on again, or is it not necessary, and I just need to repeat the procedure, and it will record both results?
@ResMed
@ResMed 6 күн бұрын
Anytime you turn on/off the device, it's considered a new session. For each study, the ApneaLink records four sessions of no more than 12 hours per session. As long as there is enough sleep data to get what they need, there shouldn't be an issue.

I want to know if that electrical attachment at the end of the hose that connects to the CPAP machine can get wet. And I do not get an answer here. And I want to know if the hose that attaches to my mask separates from that hose that attaches to the CPAP, they look like separate hoses but I cannot easily separate them. This video would be better if it showed the processes instead of showing their smiling faces.

Thanks for reaching out to us about the care of your heated tubing. You should be alright washing the tubing by hand only (including the circuit at the end) with warm water and a mild detergent. As long as you don't wash the tubing in a dishwasher or machine, this alone should not damage it. Of course, for your safety and the safety of the equipment, please be sure the ends of your tubing are completely dry before reconnecting it to your machine or mask. For more information, please refer to your product's user guide.

I been having issues with Dry mouth for 6 years. Ive tried 4 diffrent masks including: Resmed AirTouch F20 Large Resmed Airfit F20 Large and Meduim Philips Dreamware Full Face mask And Resmed AirFit F40. I like the AirFit F40 but it leaks on the side even with tigting the straps and evwn trying a medium. And i kept having Dry Mouth issues. The AirFit F20 is better seal but it still occasionally leak throughout the night and still have dry mouth. I really liked the Airtouch F20 but i ordered it on amazon and it felt like i was laying my face on carpet and the package wasnt sealed correctly. Does anyone know if the AirTouch F20 helps with Dry Mouth Issues? My DME had done everything to help with Dry Mouth including adjusting some settings on my Airsense 11 and also had fitted me with the correct size mask (AirFit F40 size Meduim) and i still have dry mouth. Does ResMed have any other suggestions that my DME missed? My machines "Air Pressure" is set very low so that shouldn't be a problem.

We’re sorry to hear about your ongoing struggles with dry mouth and mask fit. It sounds like you’ve put in a lot of effort trying different masks and adjusting your settings, and we understand how frustrating this can be. Since you've tried multiple masks and are still experiencing leaks and dry mouth, we’d recommend discussing this with your doctor and/or supplier. They may be able to pinpoint the underlying cause and suggest further solutions tailored to your needs. Your DME has already worked on adjusting your AirSense 11 settings and ensuring the correct mask size, which is great. However, there may still be other factors contributing to your dry mouth. We have a blog post that outlines three potential causes of CPAP-related dry mouth and some possible solutions: www.resmed.com/en-us/sleep-apnea/sleep-blog/common-cpap-complaint-dry-mouth/. We truly appreciate you reaching out, and we hope you're able to find relief soon. Let us know if there’s anything else we can do to support you!

Machines that smell of smoke. How does a patient sterilize their machine?
@ResMed
@ResMed 11 күн бұрын
Unfortunately odors, ESPECIALLY smoke odors, are just about impossible to purge from a device. Smoke damage actually voids our warranty for this very reason. Please return this machine to your supplier again, advise their management of the remaining odor, and they can assist you with this directly. If they have any questions, they can contact us again and we'd be happy to discuss this with them.

Thank you for reaching out to share your experience with our products. We regret to hear that you're having headaches and dizzines with AirSense 11, after starting therapy. For some, the benefits of their therapy are noticed very quickly and for others, it can take time and sometimes regular adjustments of settings. Sleep disorders can vary by individual, and so it's important to stay in communication with your doctor about how your therapy is affecting you. They may be able to make adjustments to settings or suggest other modes or options to improve your therapy.

Does "My Sleep View" store data for download and analysis by my PCP and/or respiratory therapist? By this I mean a comprehensive report over a period of time.
@ResMed
@ResMed 18 күн бұрын
Yes, your machine does store up to 365 nights of sleep data in onboard memory. Most ResMed machines can also store your sleep data on an SD card, which can be used (when needed) by your PCP or respiratory therapist for clinical purposes. Your machine also uses a secured cellular network signal to automatically transmit your data to them through clincial software like ResScan or AirView to keep track of how well your sleep therapy is going. If you have any questions or concerns, they can also answer those questions for you directly.

This mask is next to impossible to change out the 'cushion' and I nearly broke it. The CPAP supplier is next to worthless for help. It is bad enough that people need the CPAP to begin with, now add in the frustration of no written instructions, no demonstration from the vendor on how to change out the 'cushion' or even identifying what the 'cushion' is! I was thinking I had to tear off the squishy part from the hard plastic and do the same to the mask that the vendor put on. The communication is extremely poor. The 'training' is even worse. After watching this video, I figured if I broke it, I'd just drop kick the CPAP base off the cliff and be done with it! ResMed and the mask makers need to get a new CPAP user in who has never seen the contraption before so that person can show the experts where the problems are in their documentation. Even a child could tell you how bad the communication on how to remove the 'cushion' from the part that holds the clips on! It does NOT just come off like it is shown in this video. You have to 'work' it off, rocking and pulling at the same time. After struggling over 15 minutes, I finally got it off. NOTHING should be that hard to do! Using force will NOT work unless your goal is to break it. I watched the video and repeated several times the bit where the 'cushion' is removed from the 'frame'. Perhaps a line drawing identifying each piece, and how to remove each piece, especially the potential difficulty of taking the 'cushion' off for replacement. Do better. People who are already sleep deprived, have enough frustration in their lives. Please do not add to it!

Thank you for reaching out and we're sorry to hear about the poor experience your mother has had with mask leaks and the difficulty you've had getting support for this problem. Mask leak can be a common issue for CPAP mask users. As a first step, our blog post offers helpful info about what might be causing your mask leak and ways to address each potential cause: www.resmed.com/en-us/sleep-apnea/sleep-blog/common-cpap-complaint-my-cpap-mask-leaks/ and your medical equipment supplier are always there to help if these adjustments aren't working if you're interested in either another type of mask or need a more direct in-person fitting of your mask. They can also offer adjustments or alternative options to enhance your comfort while maintaining effective therapy.

I am nearing the one-year mark and suddenly I can't stand wearing it anymore. After a few hours I have to take it off. My mouth is so dry I can barely open it enough to take a sip of water. I have it on auto and my tank is empty after a few hours. It's funny that supposedly people at cpap are auditing it and yet nobody's calling to find out why suddenly I've gone from using it 10 hours a night to two. CPAP is such a rip off. I don't know why Medicare is made to pay so much money for such tiny supplies. What a racket for the companies who make the supplies. But I'm glad I guess that they aren't available over the counter because then they'd still be roaringly expensive except Insurance wouldn't pay. On the other hand I have so many extra things that Medicare has paid for and I bet all of us have.
