According to the guide my nose was a narrow fit. Tried it and had huge leaks. Switched to a wide cushion improved the situation but not quite close to the results i had with my old P10. Waiting for the SW to try but i don't think it will fit either. if i knew it was that difficult to find the right size i wouldn't bother. Probably would go for a P30i or N30i

I use the slim line tube. Do I need to use the “warm up” feature every night to be able to use my humidifier or did I receive a faulty device that the humidifier doesn’t auto turn on?
@ResMedКүн бұрын
Hi Stephanie, If the humidity setting on your machine is set to zero, the humidification feature will be will not start when you start your therapy. However, if your humidity setting is set to 1 or higher, once you start your therapy the heating plate should begin warming up the water in your chamber for humidification automatically and you may see a red wavy lines icon on your machine's display. Keep in mind it can take some time for the water to get hot enough to form vapor for humidification purposes. Please check this setting (see your user guide to locate the setting in your machine's menu) to verify your humidity setting is turned on. If it is but you still are not receiving any humidification from your therapy, you can try increasing your humidity setting or bring the machine to your medical equipment supplier and they can assist you directly with any troubleshooting or adjustments that might be needed.

Hi Julie, Mask leak can be a common issue for CPAP mask users. As a first step for your AirFit F40 mask, this article on our site offers some helpful info regarding what might cause your mask to leak and ways to address each potential cause: bit.ly/4f07ixZ Keep in mind, your medical equipment supplier is always there to help if these adjustments aren't working. We also regret to hear about the red marks and soreness you're experiencing with your F20 mask. This can result from several factors, and we'd recommend contacting your medical equipment supplier to discuss potential causes and solutions; either through further adjustments or potentially another mask model or type that could bring greater comfort without diminishing the quality of your treatment.

I was forced to use this, I hate it and don’t want to use it but I’m trying to get a gastric bypass and if I don’t use it they won’t let me have the surgery. I can’t wait until I’ve had the surgery so I can stop using this. I really couldn’t care less if I have sleep apnea, but I want the Weightloss surgery. So I’m jumping through this hoop to get what I want. I hate this freakin thing, it’s supposed to make it so I don’t get tired during the day and I’m still tired all day. Also, every single morning when I wake up, I have a bad headache behind my eyes. I have to take Tylenol every morning. I’m sure that’s not healthy. I never had a headache when I wake up before l had to use this. Oh how I hate this thing.

And what happens if you can't sleep on your back
@ResMed5 күн бұрын
Hi william thank you for reaching out, the best results can be achieved by sleeping on your back as the key components to the test are the cannula sitting under the nose - to ensure that the airway remains unobstructed - and the effort sensor belt around the chest that detects effort to breathe. However, you should be fine sleeping on your side or stomach, if that is what you prefer. You can rotate the belt so the device is at your side or back. It just needs to be able to monitor your breathing.

@ResMed15 күн бұрын
Hi Silvia, thanks for reaching. To remove the elbow from the tubing itself, simply pull the elbow away from the end of the tubing. Since the connection between your tubing and elbow needs to be air-tight to prevent leaks, it can be a little difficult to pull them apart but with a bit of force, they should separate without damaging either the tubing or the elbow. Twisting the elbow as you pull may also help it to come loose. If you continue to have issues prying them apart, your doctor or equipment supplier may be able to assist you further.

45% of people report finding time and energy to exercise after a good night’s sleep. Thank you for reaching out. As stated in our clinical and user guides, optimal humidifier performance requires distilled water. That’s because most or all of its minerals have been removed, preventing mineral buildup in the humidifier tub. Tap or bottled water may also be used when necessary. While it will not harm the machine or pose a risk to your health, it will require more rigorous cleaning of your water tub to prevent excess mineral buildup.

I put EVERYTHING, including heated tubing and humidifier chamber, into a large sealable plastic container filled with 1 teaspoon of Dawn mild detergent per gallon of warm water, seal the lid, and then shake the container back and forth as if it were washing machine, and then change to 100% water and repeat, to rinse. Also, use brush if needed. TIP: Fill and drain through the heated tubing while it is still connected to the fully assembled mask, to thoroughly clean the interior of the heated tubing and mask frame "tubing".
