I have a question man. I finished my interview and it went great. They said they are accepting me and pushing me forward to the next step which is the USAREC board. This is not in person. Did you experience this as well? I’m praying I get selected it’s all I want. Thank you.

After submitting your OCS packet, do you automatically get an interview before they accept/reject you or can/do they do that strictly based on your packet?
@MrCarter85 Жыл бұрын
Once you submit your packet, itll be reviewed in its entirety. A decision will then be made on whether or not to send the applicant before the OCS Board for an interview. The interview is the last step and every applicant has to complete it. Once the interview is complete then you will hear back on whether or not you were accepted to OCS.

I was a draftee in 1968 during the height of the Vietnam war. I ended up graduating from Infantry OCS at Ft. Benning in 8/1969, class 27-69. We were lucky because at the time, due to the need for combat officers, board interviews were waived.

How was the female situation at ocs in your experience? Were they struggling at all? Did they have to compete on the pt test with the males as well? How does that work?
@MrCarter855 жыл бұрын
andraisbored i thought overall the females in my company did well. We all leaned on eachother as a whole to get through it. For the Pt test, the females have there own standards for the APFT that is different than the males. As of now, the standards for females are relatively lower than the males in all of the categories. With changes coming soon though, the ACFT will be the new pt test for record throughout the entire army which will be gender neutral in terms of the standards. This will take into effect in Oct 2020.

Whats The Hardest Part Army Basic Training I Went Two Weeks Of Air Force Basic Training I Kinda Know How The Atmosphere Going To Be
@MrCarter855 жыл бұрын
Basic was more of a mental challenge for me. The biggest part was understanding that not everything is going to go your way. You will be surrounded by people from all parts of the world. Some will want to be there and some won’t. Ultimately, it is up to you to be the best you can be while in training. Don’t let the actions of others dictate your performance. Understand that you can only control what you can control and you will do fine!
