I think it would be cool if you built a sleeper with the 4200 that originally came with a straight six. Like if you could find a ratty first gen Corvette (I don't know what they cost) or like a '53 pickup. Or maybe put one in a Supra😂, or a Jeep Cherokee. You could make it really fast and put paddle tires on it, then sand hill climb like it they do in Liwa.

Hey Jeremy it's Ken Hopkins from York PA. The 2JZ is such a sick ass motor. I got to drive a right hand drive 1100hp one the other day. I'm in love. They guy is selling his supra for 75k and it's a showcar. It's right hand drive and a T56 trans. It walked away from my V3 that ran 142mph in the quarter. I could send you some pics and videos of it. Its all black and is a hard top. It's definitely a beautiful car. He keeps it in storage because he is in the Navy. Anyway it's good to see you still making KZbin Vids brother. I think the Vortec 4200 is stronger than a 2jz. Its a bigger engine and the cylinder heads flow better we just need more tuners to play with it like they did the 2jz

I had a Colorado with the 2.9l i4. I always knew that engine had potential. I think it really needed some cams to open it up. I'd love to see a turbo build on one of those 2.9l.

@eriklarson9137 Did you watch the video? That's not a 2JZ, it's a 4200 atlas, the stock motor for a trailblazer. It's known as the american 2JZ because it's an i6 and makes crazy power with boost.

I have always said that those 4.2s had alot of potential. 270 HP 275 lb ft from the factory. Add a turbo and they can EASILY make 500 HP without many mods. The biggest issue are the manifolds and piping routing.
