700 on a stock 4.8 with just a ring gap and a single turbo. That’s nice! For those say the F-150 will beat this. Every one that’s I’ve seen has had twin turbos or a supercharger (that costs more than this truck did) with built internals because of rod and crank issues. So dollar for dollar your F-150 isn’t even close to touching this truck.

@ Yes! They are however known to have rod and crank issues. Anything above 1000 you’ll want to have the engine built for better reliability.

I put 800 wheel through a performabuilt 60e in an extended cab for 5 seasons, finally just broke the output shaft last month and I’m not convinced it didn’t start with a t case failure first. They build a good transmission for sure.

@@TheMrDarius apparently there is a guy in Indiana who does some MAJOR upgrades to it ... sun gear with and extra gear in it, threaded basket for the clutches and and and .... and supposedly this is a really nice upgrade .... and if you want to maintain a very short 1st gear and not go the 4L80 with the 1st gear that is a mile long ..... that might be a good option .... I wonder how good that beefed up 4L60 really is .....

We put a bit north of 1500 through these often. best is 8.34 1/4 mile at 163 on low boost in an fbody. 4L60s fine.
