Bow hunting Oregon Blacktail Opening Day Hunt 2019

Opening day late season bow hunt for Oregon Blacktail. We rattled in a few small bucks. Did not let an arrow fly on the first day but was still fun getting some bucks to come in close. The big boys are out there. We will keep trying.

Big Game Athlete stay with it. I rattle off and on all day yesterday and didn’t see a single deer. It can be discouraging sometimes but stay after it. I had some crazy stuff happen this morning and it happened super fast. Video coming soon.

What stand is this? It looks nice

The ladder stand is a 20' Big Game Skybox Deluxe with some DIY luxuries added (homemade strap on roof, camo netting). And we have a Gorilla King Kong Lounger HX hang on stand sitting offset equipped with a DIY detachable safety rail, camo netting & also has a strap on roof. The roof is a must have, we could care less how hard it rains. Thanks for stopping by....... Eric

@@SoloCamXTOutdoors Thank you for your response I really appreciate it. I have been hunting blacktail for 10 years and just recently got into tree stands so I’m still learning. I saw more deer than I’ve ever seen this year out of my stand, and killed my biggest buck yet. I’m loving it but need some upgrades!

@@isaiahjamison1910 congrats on bagging a big buck. That’s awesome. I bought my first tree stand 10 years ago and have been customizing things here and there ever since. But the roof was the best thing I ever did. And watching deer that don’t know their being watched is great. You get to see and hear things that you never would hunting from the ground. You just got to be willing to put in the time.
