Greatest drum intro of all pop music. Hands down. And carries it like a fragile egg through the entirety. So softly, so gently, with such care and precision. Mind blowing.

This is stupid. If you want a dwarf size drum kit, they're cheaper than devaluing a regular kit.

Combine a lot of talent with dedication, commitment, and years of experience and you have a legendary drummer. Every part is extremely well written and perfect for the song.

This reminds me of Simon Philips, the drummer of Toto where he did the drum solo like this :P

This was one of those grooves that captured you immediately. I remember when I first heard it back in 1975. I was a junior in HS. I picked-up the album, not knowing this tune was on it, or who Steve Gadd was. I heard the riff I was hooked. I woodshedded it, and I remember finally being able to play it. It was one of those riffs that drummers had to learn in order to be cool. It's a great memory, and I can't tell you how lucky I feel knowing I grew up in that era.

Im not a drummer, just a music lover, but must say: Quest is probably the BEST drummer I've ever heard! His sense of TIMING is IMPECCABLE. He drums with a PRECISION that I've ever ONLY heard from a drum machine!🔥

I have to say it! Loved his cream days, loved turning the down beat on Sunshine of you love to the 1+3, but for Christ say he is not even an average player! all his solos are the same clap trap single rolls, he has no stick control, especially with wailing arms ! no syncopation with feet, he plays like a child would, ask any real professional drummers ,I get embarrassed watching his solos !

Not much sound difference from tom to tom or even to the bass kick, has a very bold pop tho, no echo type sounds that carry on, i dont dislike them however for 70k seems a bit steap, but what do i know im just a window shopper. I tell you what tho if i ever hit the lottery ill buy 3 sets and pay scientist to rid the vinager stinch... 😊
