What's up with that fan in the front? I've never seen that before in a 1984. Mine doesn't have one.

Did you have problems with the radiator transmission lines being metric vs standard? I did and i cant find a fitting that converts to metric

Makes video to show you how to do something, doesnt show half of the work
@jimbennett5595 Жыл бұрын
Dude! You don't need to be doing this kind of work. The fact that you drilled out multiple bolt heads and then used pliers to clumsily remove the "stumps" as you called them, shows some seriously questionable work methods. They make some great products like "liquid wrench" to use on stuck bolts. You could also use a heat gun on them to loosen them up after the liquid wrench has been soaking on the bolts fir a few hours. Using that much force on aluminum engine parts will end up causing broken throttle body parts. Then you are spending spending $300+ for new throttle body on Ebay. Maybe watch a few videos of real mechanics doing this tear down before you make such an ass backwards video on your own. That's honestly as nice as I can say it.

This isn't rebuilding, this is just servicing the unit. I expected to see some new bushings or bearings installed in the shaft, that is a common requirement on these.

What year C4 Corvette is this? It's not one from the last few years, 1994-1996, because LT1 and LT4 engines have distributors on the lower-front of the engines, underneath the water pumps - where the optispark distributor is sure to be RUINED when the water pump leaks. They were a TERRIBLE design.

What are the stock lbs injectors for a 1992 corvette? Is it 22 or 24 ?
@HeavenReservation2 жыл бұрын
Hi is your website still working?

Wouldn't 24lbs be abit much? I thought 22lbs were best?

These are decent videos, but that just a clean up. Rebuild is complete disassembly and rebush the shaft. That's always a problem with these TB's at this age....

Interesting approach, myself always just removed the 1/2 inch NOT 13 mm bolts for it is American (standard) not Japan (metric) good way to strip them out. Then disconnect the wiring and it pops right out never removed the pulley or bracket anything else just belt and a few bolts and bam it comes right out very easy.

Uhh, what about those of us that would like to keep the condenser in place and connected when replacing the radiator? Does the condenser need to be removed in order to remove the radiator?? I would like to avoid having AC system evacuated if possible as I'm sure others would too.

Does the C4 with the Upright (not tilted Radiator) that has the fill port on the radiator need to be bled? or just let it run until the thermostat opens and self bleeds? I am about to do one of these installs in my new to me 1989 c4 56K miles already ordered the radiator it is on back order.

Hay this is #torah57mitch and you are the first one to actually show the technique on how to actually remove the back cushion from the seat frame and actually know what you are doing. Grate Job I am in the process of reupholstering a set of 93' bucket seats out of a corvette I am going to make new covers using the old seat covers as pattern using ultra leather for the new covers great job #torah57mitch

The wiper motor only looks like it'll be a problem, but it's not. The bigger issue on the early L98s is the vacuum pipe from the intake to the brake booster that is bolted to the back of the head being in the way. I took off the AIR pump so I had forward room and then bent the vaccum pipe ever so gingerly to gain enough clearance to forcibly wiggle the cover out.

Did most of interior if my 86 c4. As long as the arm rest is not pulling from the frame , you can do this. Mine was bad and I did something different and covered it in leather . Used frame also to keep it mountable.

I'm about to build my 5.7 LT1 in my 97 z28. This will be my first EFI build. I've always used Holley carbs. Anyway, my plan is to use a 480 lift comp cam, headers, big valves. Etc. A basic build. Can anyone recommend what pound injectors I should use? Is it even necessary to upgrade the injectors? Any advice from experience will be greatly appreciated.
