Wouldn't 24lbs be abit much? I thought 22lbs were best?

I have a problem with my l98 TPI trans am which is white smoke smells gas. I cleaned the injectors still same issue. how to check for open stuck injector. or iy could be another isssue Please help

M. White smoke is usually a sign of coolant in the system. Easiest is to first check the radiator for signs of oil and or loss of coolant. Could be that the fuel is not burning off completely. There are some light tools to check for FI pulsing.

The best way to check each injector is with a fuel pressure gauge and 2 jumper wires to the injector terminals. Put gauge on, turn key on. read fuel pressure. turn key off. touch the jumpers to one injector for 2 seconds. Watch the pressure drop. Repeat for all injectors. all should be about the same.

I'm about to build my 5.7 LT1 in my 97 z28. This will be my first EFI build. I've always used Holley carbs. Anyway, my plan is to use a 480 lift comp cam, headers, big valves. Etc. A basic build. Can anyone recommend what pound injectors I should use? Is it even necessary to upgrade the injectors? Any advice from experience will be greatly appreciated.

I always put the injectors in the rail first. I like to use some silicone grease on the o-rings.

when you come to injectors swap/removal in a TPI system,since you have to remove the plenum /rubnners,its better to refurbish the fuel rail assy too,using the AC Delco o ring kit and put a new adjustable fuel pressure regulator since a 25 YO broken regulator diaphragm can let you stranded,nice video bro'

I did this job today. This video is good...however putting the injectors in the manifold first and then lowering the fuel rail on top of the injectors left me with a nasty leak. The injectors fit snugly into the fuel rail and somewhat loosely into the manifold. Thus, you are better off pressing the injectors into the rail, where they fit snugly and then dropping the whole assembly into the manifold where they fit loosely. Once you bolt the rail down, make sure you easily twist each injector from side to side prior to priming the fuel pump. If you can't twist them, they aren't properly seated and you will have a leak.

+1 for FIC reman Bosch 3's. Brought my 1989 C4 back to life. If you buy a C4 and you see the old Multec injectors just plan to replace as a tune up item.

Bosch EV14 type injector can have up 12 hole nozzles, the fuel spray comes out 3x smaller than the 4 hole nozzle. this is the reason new cars are so smooth and responsive. as long as its the same flow rate no tuning is nessesary its EV14 long is the same size as the EV1, so it fits.. you will need a jetronic to uscar connector adapater.. check us for a complete Bosch catalogue with flow rates / port type / # nozzle holes www.injectorplanet.com/collections/bosch-fuel-injectors/Bosch-EV6 perfect tutorial, thank you -Bryan
