Interesting approach, myself always just removed the 1/2 inch NOT 13 mm bolts for it is American (standard) not Japan (metric) good way to strip them out. Then disconnect the wiring and it pops right out never removed the pulley or bracket anything else just belt and a few bolts and bam it comes right out very easy.

very good but inform the viewers if they are keeping the replacement alternator stock, they won't have to remove the pulley or top bracket. just the two bolts and two screws holding the power steering reservoir down. very easy job. 10 minutes.

you need to move the camera so we can see where below the other bolt/nut is located...now about taking the sepentine belt off!!

I have an "84 vette that needs an alternator. When I went to the auto part's store they asked me if I needed a threaded or unthreaded mounting ear alternator. So, which alternator would I need? Any help is appreciated, thank you.

could you link that exact alternator please? i have a C4 (L98 engine) its imported so i dont know they exact manufactured year but its registered as a 1995 but i believe all the parts to be from 1987. but the alternator that you are using is the exact one i need. could you please assist me?

1988 or earlier uses an air pump if not mistake ......please clarify year makes.

Where is serpentine removal video? Not finding it here or gasgearsgarage.com. Was it removed?

Didn't include that. Simple process. Breaker bar with socket on the tensioner pulley pushed down. Have to apply a good amount of pressure and then slip off the tensioner pulley. Trick is getting it back on the correct path around the other pulleys. You car should have the reference located on the radiator cover.

In my car the long bolt from the bracket goes in from the other side.So i din't have to remove the pulley !

Nice. That probably means someone was there before. After I posted this vid, I went ahead and pulled the entire AIR pump system out to clean-up the engine bay. I may post a video on that too. Good luck man and thanks for subscribing.
