The comments are just as, (probably more) good as the content in this upload. Interesting.

Die Me 262 war ein sehr gut entwickeltes Flugzeug und hätte ab 1941 in großen Stückzahlen den Kriegsverlauf verändert aber nicht geändert.

The US lost the Vietnam war, the images of helicopters being pushed to the sea from the deck of aircraft carriers in Saigon bay are unforgettable. More than 2 million civilians were killed as direct result of US military actions. In 1975 North Vietnamese troops entered Saigon putting an end to this war where the US showed its weaknesses. The US were defeated as the French were in Dien Bien Phu in 1954, by the same General, Vo Nguyen Giap.

So from the title Nazis were scared of it, but how about other Germans? Were they scared too or was it only Nazis?

I 'care' for the graves of an RCAF Hampden crew from an OTU, shot down on the night of 26th March 1942 by an intruder. It crashed about four miles from where we live, having flown to RAF Polebrook to refuel and RTU. Many spent cartridge cases were found in an around the wreckage, so they HAD fought for their lives.

Well Turkiye has to thank the Nato and US that you denied us the F-35 , because in the end it accellerated the development of Turkiye's TAI TFX Kaan Project and so moved away from foreign dependence on Aircraft

So much colourful dialogue with so many mistakes, and nearly a 50% level of irrelevant footage. I'd always hoped that this channel would eventually get it's act (and facts) together, but here we are some four years later, and no improvement. Such a shame.

Interesting posts by Dark Skies. Too bad the monologue is so fast. It's as if the narrator can't get through these episodes fast enough. Maybe he has to go to the bathroom?

I was an engine mechanic on both the RB-66 and the F-101, so I find it quite irritating when you mix up the two aircraft in your presentation.

You totally fail to acknowledge the recon photo activity done at low level by Navy RF8 supersonic jets who also covered Cuba and flew imaging of the Cuban missiles directly to Pres. Kennedy confirming the readiness of those missiles...

Backshees was an ex Romanian Ju-88 that defected to Cyprus in July 1943 with a Romanian pilot named Nicolae teodoru. The plane is now displayed at National Museum of the United States air Force.

The biggest issues were the lack of self sealing fuel tanks, no armor plate for the pilot's seat, not powerful enough superchargers for the engine boost at higher altitude. Also, Hirokoshi wanted to use the larger Mitsubishi 1,560hp radial in early 1943 instead of the Sakae but was vetoed by the Navy. They also failed to implement a simple nitrous oxide boost as the Germans did. None of this would have done more though than extend the useful life somewhat.

Yes. It was mostly racism but there were recent Japanese immigrants of questionable loyalty on the Hawaiian Islands, a tiny minority of the overall population, but it was perhaps too difficult in the initial hysteria.

I'm annoyed that the US didn't use those to help defend Ukraine against Russia, yet they used those same assets, and countless others, to defend Kuwait. And that's all despite the fact the UK and US each signed a legally-binding defence pact with Ukraine, but not Kuwait.

Supposedly? No. it was real. It flew and was a good as they said it was. Just like our TS2, it fell by the wayside - for the US aircraft industry to take the lead.

Thanks for this informative video! My Dad was a USAF officer stationed at Homestead Air Force Base & at least 5 other bases & flew more than a hand full of missions over Europe & several other countries outside of Europe. In 1960 my parents divorced & I went with my Mom back to her home state of Ohio. I knew very little of my Dads military history to say the least. I received a letter from his dear friend that he had passed away in 2019, then received 3 boxes of extremely important mementoes of his service. His name is Lester J. Vohs, USAF Major in 1960 stationed at Andrews AFB. I feel strongly he took part in some of the missions mentioned. Thanks again, an old USAF Military Brat. 👍👍

AIM4s were only really effective against non-manuevering targets... like the B17 drones they were tested against. When employed by F4Cs against NVAF MiGs, they performed horribly between the long cool-down interval of the IR seeker heads, to the small amount of coolant carried that made them single use weapons. Col. Robin Olds famously ordered them off of his base in Thailand, and then 🎉effected a local field modification to reequip his F4s with AIM9s. As the 60s drew to a close, the F102s used up worthless stocks of AIM4s against campfires that were about the only target they could manage to hit. That is the real story behind their use... not some brilliant tactical move.
