Mixed on paper reminds me of Bill Martin, Jr.'s art style in his children's books.

Hi Ms. Jane, is Watercolor 101 available as a stand alone book as seen in this video?

They are both great. I like wet on dry more though, I love contrast, and sharp edges

on paper looks more like a real cactus but its not healthy, and has yellowing while on pallet looks liek a perfect healthy plant (add slightly darker lines or shades to better mimic this with plants) so if in the scene plants are neglected a bit top may be more acurate but if someone cares for them correctly in the scen bottom may be more acurate

The top one has a nice texture but the other on just happens to have my favourite color.

It seems like soft would be good for things in a distance, and hard is for things closer Am I right for thinking this?

I like the undertones of the paper one but the pallete one is good for a more clean aesthetic of it's own.

I like the hard edges for when you're painting a landscape, and soft edges for a background with a more important foreground ❤
