Very good videos for working on the 880 or 901. Thanks. The main reason I took it apart was because it was shooting 4" to the right and I was trying to figure out why. Never did, but I did get it tore all the way down and back up. Thanks again.

Hello J L. Thank you very much for this nice informative video. I just started following you. I live in Turkey and I want to produce laying hens that graze on pastures. I will benefit greatly from the guidance you showed. I am looking for an answer to a question that I am curious about. I using the number of 100 chickens as an example. In a strong pasture consisting of highly mixed and nutritious grains, legumes, green vegetables and some other vegetables, what should be the minimum area in square meters to feed 100 chickens in 2 days? Of course, I'm talking about a flat area where there is not even a single square meter of unused space. Thank you in advance, hoping you will answer this question.

You probably said this at some point, for others like myself who don't listen, the trigger is the same as the new 880. So the reassembly video of the new 880 shows how to reassemble the trigger.

I just realized the old style rifle barrel is clamped on but the newer guns have the barrel case into one piece. The bedding material where the barrel is mounted was broken and leaked air so we bedded the barrel in some JB weld.

I may have missed it on the video. My 880 pump tube has pulled out of rear of rifle. Don't ask.the plunger is tight as heck. I'm gonna order a new tube and seal kit. But am I missing something that keeps the tube from moving forward?

An old friend gave me a 880 and the pump lever is metal, the trigger guard looks metal, and there's only two screws on the right side of the receiver and 3 on the left. Is this considered the Old style?
@JL-by4xu
@JL-by4xu 10 ай бұрын
Most likely, old style has a brass pump tube, new style has an aluminum pump tube. You can tell without taking the gun apart

Your 8n is to small for a baler!!! I know I drove a 52 model that was bought brand new!!! The dealer told my grandpa not to try it wasn't strong enough!!!! It will throw a piston out the side!!!!
@JL-by4xu
@JL-by4xu Жыл бұрын
Over 20,000 bales shows different. My 8N still runs strong. Just because someone is a dealer doesn't mean a thing. The 8N has plenty of HP and is plenty strong to run a baler. The only issue is the lack of live PTO which has to be overcome with skill and experience.

@@JL-by4xu keep it up I'm 65 and drove one for 50 years!!! Bought a bigger tractor to bail with and used the redbelly to rake!!! Couldn't keep front wheels on the ground with bailer on 8n!!! Just wait it will happen!!!
@JL-by4xu
@JL-by4xu Жыл бұрын
@@robertstultz2260 Yeah I moved up to bigger tractors, but the 8N is what I had when I started and it never let me down. Very dependable and super easy to work on. For baling however the live PTO on the 2000 and 3000 makes the job easier.

Dear Daisy 880, I got your repair kit, and I have the old style 880, not oldest and this was also my first BB gun. I watched all the videos and took apart and put together with all the new parts, but it is not generating any pressure. Everything seems to be working but it just doesn’t seem to generate enough pressure. I do not hear any leaks when I pump with only the pump assembly done, but I don’t think even then it is generating enough pressure. Could you please help me diagnose and repair what else might be wrong. I do not mind getting a few more parts if needed as I want my son to be able to use this gun. Thank you, Rob

Then it is likely the old style, I also did the same video for it as well. There are also 880s that have one screw securing the stock but have new style internals.
@wyldbill100
@wyldbill100 Жыл бұрын
The Old Style that has the wooden stock has to have the butt stock plastic shoulder piece removed to access a bolt INSIDE the butt stock that must be loosened to facilitate the removal of the receiver side plates. There is a squared metal piece on the forward end of the butt stock that "locks in" the receiver side halves that are grooved to mate with that metal plate.
