There are a couple of other songs that come to mind when I think of songs that have made me emotional. One is called _'Til You Can't_ and the other is called _Seasons in the Sun._

Freddie knowing he was dying and they weren't even supposed to perform. A last minute addition. I was 14 and my dad taped it on VHS back in the day. Absolutely outstanding from Queen.

BTW-that was NOT John, that was his son Jason Bonham. John died 3 years after I saw Zep live in Ohio (1977) 🫡👍🏼

There is rock, there is blues, there is jazz, there is fusion, there is rap, there is new age, there is big band - and there is That Beatles. They are their own genre of music. When people say to think outside the box The Beatles are the musical equivalent.

Heck that song lifts me up. to me that’s God telling me I am with you no matter what you go through the hard times like a bridge over troubled water I’m there for you and that makes me joyful.

Thank you so much for reacting to this. I was in high school here in North Carolina when this song first came out in 1979. I remember it well. My girlfriend at the time and I loved attending concerts. It was one of the things we loved doing together. My wife did the same thing during that time period as well. There were a huge number of wonderful groups at the time and concerts were not very expensive to attend. Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Boston, Journey, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Triumph, 38 Special, Foreigner, and many others. I cannot describe to you what a wonderful time it was to be young then compared to today. We were happier, relationships were closer, life was more carefree, and the music was spectacular. Our 4 adult children (28-33) love 70’s/80’s music just as we do. My heart just aches that young people will not get to experience life as we did as teenagers in the 70’s/80’s. Again, thank you so much for posting this video. It was a wonderful treat.

Do you not understand the shift between the calm and controlled anger of the first part of the song to the latter part where the anger and rage is unleased? This song as about a divorce...apparently you haven't been through one. If you smile during this song, you don't get it.

How about playing either the original Album version and/or the Original Band LIVE @ Knebworth 1979 playing "Kashmir?" I've no problem w/ this version, but, It's not the original album cut nor the original 4 members - would you Evaluate an Elvis tune w/ someone other than Elvis singing and call him/her Elvis Presley? OF COURSE NOT! Peace.

It's a sad statement that "they don't make music like this anymore". They could if they wanted to...young people can do this because they were young when they did this.

I'm a 71 year old musician still doing Beatles music . It brings a tear to my eye , not just this song , but the fact young people are listening to this and understanding why we cry as they cry for a relationship they never got to know ! Hopefully with this new A I , they can show you what you missed , God Bless You all !

Simon wrote the song! The piano player came in and just happened to have a gospel background. Art Garfunkel sang like nobody else could ever.

I hope you are ok. You disappeared. Our beloved Michael will have been gone 15 yrs in two days. Time flies. Sadly. I miss him every single day. Bless you and wish you the best. My fave reaction of yours in Alicia Keyes and John Mayer. I had another channel and I think I’ve watched it at least 50x.

I saw them in 1977 and John’s son Jason did his dad proud. Giants walked the earth in the 70’s and still get up and stomp around 30 years later.

Don't forget about Billy Preston's organ playing in the background. There's a lot going on in the song, all great, but Billy added a little more funk to it. The Moog synthesizer also has a great effect of wind blowing..What a song!
