They are actually amazing and their body of work is timeless. Freddie's voice is beyond beauty. Brian's guitar work is superb. Roger's drums are solid. John carries it with the bass. Still sounds fresh today. With a powerful voice and charismatic presence, stands out as the greatest frontman in Rock and Roll history. Once he stepped on the stage, the audience knew that they were a part of something special. Having over a four-octave vocal range coupled with a flamboyant personality, Mercury kept his concerts alive every second.

On stage is where Freddie felt the most at home.

I enjoy this performance watching Freddie “boogie” on stage!! He really can’t help himself … Freddie feels the music cuz he is the music! The bassist John Deacon wrote this song & Freddie was all for it. Since Michael Jackson was a fan he happened to be in the studio when Queen played AOBTD for MJ. With his head bopping he exclaimed “That’s it, that’s the gravy”. He encouraged Queen to release it as a single … it was #1 in the U.K. & U.S. “Hee Hee” 🏆🥇🎼

Michael certainly knew a hit when he heard one! When Freddie spent time at Michael's home in California, he said it was crazy, working with a guy 8 years younger than him but who had over a decade more experience as a pop/rock star than Freddie did. Probably Michael was the only soul on Earth who could make Freddie feel like the 'little brother.'

@@debramoore7513 Really! It's also said but I can't find confirmation of it, that Freddie, after a few weeks, called his manager and said, "Get me out of here!" When asked what was wrong, he said, "The Llamas-- I can't deal with the Llamas!" 🤣

The story goes, that Freddie once said “I won’t be a star….I’ll be a legend.”

What's truly amazing about Freddie is that he was diagnosed with nodules on his vocal cords in 1975. That means that for most of his professional career singing was painful. You'd never know it by watching him because he was doing what he loved.

Best "All Rounder" as his giant trophy said after athletic competitions at Freddie's boy school in India. Can't argue with that! 💛

@@3ScotsInk I can really appreciate that Freddie was Best All-Round Athlete!! I know the feeling & he must’ve been very proud. The athletic stamina that Freddie had was remarkable!! Hmmmm - He would’ve loved Racquetball, it definitely keeps your hands & feet busy!! Elvis had his own Racquetball court in Graceland.

@@debramoore7513 Yeah, and I'm impressed with all of you. I played racquetball once, slammed the ball against the wall and like a damn boomerang it came right back and hit me in the face.😂 I sent you a baby pic of Freddie, too-- my favorite one. But there are many. There's a pic of him, sitting in a chair, his permanent teeth fully in and fully showing, with, seriously, the trophy on the ground between his legs that is almost as big as he was. It's adorable!

Queen is considered the first arena band ever. Because every show sold out and so they could fill arenas. This song another John Deacon bass kick-but song. Check out Spread Your Wings, Friends Will Be Friends, Under Pressure and I Want To Break Free. All John Deacon Songs. His favorite to perform was Dragon Attack.

John Deacon wrote this great song, so the bassline on this one is killer. This song is the #1 all time performer for Queen, I think in singles sales and downloads. One would suspect that it would be Bohemian Rhapsody or another one of their great hits but Johnny takes home the prize with this song. Queen did not expect this song to be such a hit but Michael Jackson convinced them to put it out as a single and it totally took the world by storm.
